Plenty of players are overshadowed behind top recruits or upperclassmen and often do not get the recognition they deserved. We unveiled our 2026 Watch List, however, these names should be household names in the very near future.
Suttyn Harris – OH/S – 5’11” – Inman High School (2A)
Harris is a strong threat that will give Inman more offensive power than years past. As an eight grader, Harris was dominant for her club team as she competed at the USAV Girls 18s Junior National Championship in Phoenix, Arizona, last spring. Standing at 5’11”, Harris is playing as a 6-rotation outside and brings a powerful swing and a big block for Inman.
Brooklyn Benoit Brooklyn Benoit 5'11" | OH Wichita Northwest | 2026 State KS – OH – 5’9″ – Wichita Northwest High School (6A)
Benoit is the only freshman to join a seasoned Wichita Northwest team that has seven returning players from their 2021 State qualifying team. Fresh off playing libero during club season, Benoit is now playing as a 6-rotation outside for Wichita Northwest. Benoit has tough serves in her tool bag and provides solid passing for Northwest to be a contender this season.
Hayden Grimes – L/DS – 5’8″ – Andale High School (4A)
Defending 4A State Champion Andale returns 9 Seniors and will be a favorite to repeat this season. Grimes is the only freshman to join the squad and is playing the libero position. Grimes is a very strong defensive player and provides the necessary defensive backstop for The Tribes.
Mason Palace Mason Palace 6'1" | MB Kapaun Mt. Carmel | 2026 State KS – MB – 5’10” – Kapaun Mt. Carmel (5A)
Palace is adding instant value as a Middle for a fairly young Kapaun squad. Palace’s talent to run quicks and slides is something this freshman will help Kapaun with. Her impeccable timing and patience at the net will create havoc for the opposition’s offense with her blocking touches in the front row.
Avery McCorry Avery McCorry 5'9" | RS Collegiate | 2026 State KS – OPP/S – 5’8″ – Bishop Carroll High School (5A)
McCorry is joining a Bishop Carroll team that found themselves competing at the State Championship last year. McCorry brings an additional setting and right side option for Bishop Carroll. McCorry’s experience and knowledge playing at the highest level can help ensure the Golden Eagles return to State this season.
Leah Robinson – OPP – 6’0″ – St. James Academy (5A)
Robinson plays for a seasoned St. James Academy squad who finished as State Runner-Up in 2021. Robinson played well during Labor’s Day Quad at St. James and provided an extra right side option for Coach Nancy Dorsey’s squad.
