Ironically, both of these programs are the Eagles, however, Barbers Hill soared a bit higher and won in a quick three sets. Currently, Pasadena is 17-8 and Barbers Hill is 25-5. Barbers Hill has received notable recognition, and for good reason. They have knocked down some giant competition and performed well at big name tournaments this season.
In this article, Prep Dig would like to highlight a couple of younger players for Barbers Hill that have not been mentioned yet. Pasadena standouts from last night will also be included.

Gibbs is a new face on varsity as a young sophomore. Her playing time is limited because the squad’s competitive upperclassmen, however, her potential can’t be ignored on the right side. She’s left handed, very athletic, and jumps well. Swinging off Fadal, Gibbs will see a lot of growth this fall.

Another young addition to varsity, Ingvardsen is a solid choice for the Eagle’s back row as a quick and gritty player. She has lightning speed and reaction time, which is crucial for higher level matches. She brings a bolt of energy and readiness to middle back.
Caryme Molina
Caryme Molina
Molina is an impressive newcomer for Pasadena. Easily a standout, she’s a setter that plays to win and leads her team in all skills. Defensively, she has a major sense of urgency with quick footwork and anticipated shots well. Molina has an athletic jump set and solid serve receive, especially in left back. She’s a strong freshmen with a bright future.

Angelina Cruz
Cruz is a seasoned passer as a senior libero. Playing against Barbers Hill’s monster offense was a perfect opportunity to watch her. Cruz showed zero hesitation for the ball and played some feisty defense. She recently broke 500 career digs and is the defending 22-6A Defensive Player of the Year.
