We are just under a month away from playoffs. Rankings are starting to shake out and the cream is rising to the top. Last week's games definitely lived up to the hype. Lets see if the "Battle of the Bishops" can top the "Battle of the Norths".

9/20 Bishop McGuinness @ Bishop Kelley

Battle of the Bishops is here! Bishop Kelley currently sits at #1 in class 6A, while Bishop McGuinness sits at #2 in class 5A. [player_tooltip player_id='156860' first='Curry' last='Kendall'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='145990' first='Grace' last='Smallwood']at outside hitter, [player_tooltip player_id='145966' first='Megan' last='Roy'] vs [player_tooltip player_id='212440' first='Olivia' last='Metz'] at middle blocker , and [player_tooltip player_id='145984' first='Jessica' last='Shildt'] vs Taylor Vann at libero. There are so many talented players for both sides. Bishop McGuinness got the best of Bishop Kelley in football this past week. Let's see which Bishop will come out on top in volleyball.

9/22 Deer Creek @ Moore

I love watching a few of the Deer Creek players when they are out of the court. I have had the pleasure of speaking with [player_tooltip player_id='145979' first='Jenna' last='Houk'] during club and she will be a huge pick up for Coach Collins at SWOSU. He is a big proponent of culture and selflessness and that is exactly what she will add to the program. [player_tooltip player_id='145969' first='Haylee' last='Harris'], [player_tooltip player_id='145986' first='Julia' last='McLendon'], [player_tooltip player_id='176373' first='Ryli' last='Roof'] and [player_tooltip player_id='145978' first='Brynlee' last='Birney'] are all apart of a really strong senior class for the antlers. Moore however has done nothing but grow and create a culture of competitiveness under Coach Travis. This team has taken many sets off teams in the top 10 and beat one of the edmonds. They will look to snag another win over a top 10 team and take down another Edmond school behind players like [player_tooltip player_id='145993' first='Sara' last='Freeman'] and [player_tooltip player_id='212408' first='Addison' last='Worley'].

9/22 Victory Christian @ Cascia Hall

Private school powerhouses! Both schools have had a history of being at the state tournament and bringing home hardware. Cascia sits at #4 overall has only 4 losses on the season and all 4 have come at the hand of other private schools. [player_tooltip player_id='156875' first='Ramsey' last='Wagner'] and Lauren Ferrari will try to get a connection going early in the match to spark the offense and not let that trend continue. Victory Christian is very undervalued sitting at #11 in the rankings. [player_tooltip player_id='156874' first='Taylor' last='Motes'] is the real deal folks! She is super athletic and already has very mature mechanics. She can move all along the net and put away balls. Her slide approach is something that could be used in instructional videos. This will be a big match for one team to stay top 5 and another to tell the state they deserve to be top 5. Add on that these teams just played each other this past weekend and it went the full 5 set distance, with Cascia Hall coming out on top.

Week six is officially in the books. Plenty of great matches have already been played and more will be played in week seven. We can't wait for playoffs and wish everyone the best en route.
