Bishop McGuinness Tournament
This tournament will have some top notch talent from multiple different classes and they are all ranked!
- Deer Creek (6A #5)
- Edmond Santa Fe (6A #10)
- Lincoln Christian (4A #5)
- Bishop McGuinness (5A #2)
- Sand Springs (6A #15)
- Yukon (6A #15)
- Carl Albert (5A #8)
- Choctaw (6A #13)
Deer Creek is coming as the 1 seed and will look to live up to it. Behind the arm of Jenna Houk Jenna Houk 5'9" | OH Deer Creek | 2023 State OK and passes from Haylee Harris Haylee Harris 5'5" | DS/L Deer Creek | 2023 State OK , they can do just that! They are fighting to keep their position to host a regional come playoff time. Wins here could do just that for the Antlers.
Edmond Santa Fe have been up and down this season but Coach Ethridge always has theme ready at the end of the season. Look for them to get on a run and make a splash the last couple weeks. Anna Rice Anna Rice 6'3" | RS Edmond Santa Fe | 2025 State OK and Jocelyn Copple Jocelyn Copple 6'2" | MB Edmond Santa Fe | 2024 State OK are both blossoming player that will do big things in their career here.
Lincoln Christian just finished playing in the Rejoice tournament this past weekend, where they picked up wins over Victory Christian, Holland Hall, and Cascia Hall. They will have another opportunity to impress the voters this time with some wins over top 5A and 6A teams.
Bishop McGuinness is sitting at #2 in class 5A and has basically solidified their spot in the top 8. They are looking to battle good teams and begin their preparation for the post season. Grace Smallwood Grace Smallwood 5'7" | OH Bishop McGuiness | 2023 State OK is a special player and players Catherine Schultz, Greer DeLeon Greer DeLeon 5'10" | OH Bishop McGuinness | 2025 State OK and Olivia Metz Olivia Metz 5'9" | MB Bishop McGuinness | 2025 State OK are all great compliments to her.
Sand Springs has a good mix of young talent and seasoned vets in the starting rotation. Freshman outside, Alia DeBerry will be a staple here for years to come. She is being guided by senior outside, Payton Robbins. They both can put some pop behind the ball and not afraid to take a swing from anywhere on the court.
Yukon has a great setter/hitter combo in Taya McReynolds Taya McReynolds 5'10" | OH Yukon | 2023 State OK and Jasmine Liongco Jasmine Liongco 5'3" | S Yukon | 2025 State OK . McReynolds will be playing at nationally competitive Oklahoma Baptist next season. Liongco is a great young talent that loves to compete!
Carl Albert has scooted down to the #8 team in class 5A this past week. They have ran into the meat of their schedule and are facing nothing but tough teams. Another solid 5 matches ahead and Piedmont next Tuesday. Any wins they can get will look good on their resume. Emily Boyer Emily Boyer 5'11" | S Carl Albert | 2023 State OK and Madison Stuart are a great combo and should never be counted out.
Choctaw only has 5 losses on the season and the 5th and 6th seeds in the tournament are two of those 5. This is just the type of opportunity the Yellowjackets need. Get some revenge, get some quality wins and continue to rack up wins down the stretch.
Claremore Invitational
This will be a round robin tournament with a good mix of teams as well.

- Santa Fe South (5A #16)
- Collinsville (5A #12)
- Victory Christian (4A #11)
- Bartlesville (6A #17)
- Pryor
- Will Rogers
Claremore is coming off a 3rd place finish at the Cache tournament this past weekend. Setter Hannah Dorsey and MB Ella Irvin earned all tournament medals. Look for this team to start to have multiple starters return and get back in the mix for them. Claire Hardage Claire Hardage 6'0" | MB Claremore | 2025 State OK and Ella Irvin have done a great job in the middle both on offense and defense. They will try to defend their home court, while also trying to overtake the 6th seed for regionals.
Sapulpa is sitting at #6 in the state and looking to stay their. They will have some opportunities to defend the spot and get some quality wins. Look for Kinzie Wagner Kinzie Wagner 5'3" | S Sapulpa | 2023 State OK and Tyla Heard Tyla Heard 6'0" | RS Sapulpa | 2024 State OK to continue to hold down the fort. The last match of the tournament against Claremore will break the 1-1 tie on the season between them and likely decide who is #6 next week in the rankings.
Santa Fe South is coming off a winning the US Grant tournament this past weekend. They have currently won 10 of the last 11 matches. We will see if they can keep up that pace in a tougher tournament right before playoffs.
Collinsville has stayed steady between 9-12 all season long in the rankings. They have played tough competition like what they will see this weekend, all season long. Makayla Meadows and Lily Glover have been their go to weapons on the outside. They are both hard working athletes that don’t give up on balls.
Victory Christian just visited Claremore in the past two weeks and came away with a sweep. They are definitely eyeing the tournament title and continuing tp move up the rankings. Taylor Motes Taylor Motes 6'1" | MB Victory Christian | 2024 State OK does a great job in the middle on offense, while Lanee Heflin does a great job in SR and in the back row.
Bartlesville has two outsides that make their world go round. Emry Brown and Kelsey Ward Kelsey Ward 5'11" | OH Bartlesville | 2024 State OK both play top level club ball and it has clearly paid off. They are a very dynamic duo that is tough on opposing defenses.
Pryor is a first year program. They have made huge strides this season. Girls are having fun and gaining skills every week! Look for this program turn into something special soon.
Will Rogers sits at 7-11 on the season. They are looking to get something going late in the season and finish strong.
We are winding down and season is coming to a close. Just a few weeks left and plenty of huge matches that can turn the tides.
