It's going to be a great match, but unfortunately one of these teams goes home after tomorrow night. The Eagles and the Trojans are very familiar with one another; most of these kids play club at Munciana, which makes this matchup all the more interesting. What makes this match more interesting is that they just played each other October 4, with New Castle escaping with a five-set victory, 15-13 in the fifth. Here's a small breakdown of each team, with a poll to vote in at the end.

Delta (13-9)

The Eagles, as long as I have known them, have always had ball control kids without a lot of size. With wins over Greenfield-Central, Chatard, Mount Vernon and Westfield, they've more than proven they can compete with the much bigger teams in central Indiana. Proof of that fact starts with senior [player_tooltip player_id='234691' first='Camaya' last='Murry'] ('23, 5-4 DS/OH), who seemingly plays with a chip on her shoulder. Last week, she finished with a double-double (23k, 26d) while hitting north of .300. Although she projects to play DS at the next level, I wouldn't mind to see what damage she can do this fall. [player_tooltip player_id='234694' first='Olivia' last='Morris'] ('24, 5-9 MB) is a nice complement to Camaya's skill set, who added 16 kills of her own on the 4th.

New Castle (21-9)

This group is unfazed by the moment, owning wins over Muncie Burris, Pendleton Heights and Center Grove. I had the pleasure of reffing a scrimmage at New Castle in August, which owns the largest high school gym in the country. At over 9000 seats, there are colleges that envy their capacity. As host, there has to be a home court advantage with all of that space and depth change. Juniors [player_tooltip player_id='234692' first='Ella' last='Young'] ('24, 5-7 OH) and [player_tooltip player_id='234693' first='Alaina' last='Bowman'] ('24, 6-0 MB) each bring their own talents to the 900 square feet in front of them. Ella is a primary-passing, six-rotation outside who led all attackers with 25 kills last week, while completing the double-double with 14 digs. Size will matter in this match, with Alaina adding a double-double of her own; 13 kills and a career-high 13 blocks.
