California Menacing Middles – Vol 1

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The high school season is ramping up conference play and there are some players that are scoring at will all over the court.&nbsp; These young ladies cannot be stopped.&nbsp; They are scoring in bunches for their varsity squads and no one has been able to slow them down.&nbsp; This series of articles will be highlighting players in every grade level who are filling up the stat books.&nbsp; This next article series will cover the middle position.&nbsp; These awesome studs have been blocking the opposition and scoring for their squads at will.&nbsp; Please help us recognize the following players.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Makayla Fuller&nbsp;[2023] 6-1 Middle (HS: Excelsior Charter/Club: Rancho Valley/Verbal: Uncommitted)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Makayla is currently an unranked prospect in the Prep Dig California State Rankings for the class of 2023.&nbsp; She plays at Excelsior Charter High School and club for Rancho Valley. She has been a monster at the net as she has tallied 127 total blocks.&nbsp; This season she currently has 181 kills on a massive .229 hitting percentage. &nbsp;This kind of both offensive and defensive production shows just how good she is for her varsity squad.&nbsp; She is a big reason they are 22-5-1 overall and 9-1 in their conference.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='159535' first='Liv' last='Hertzog']&nbsp;[2023] 6-0 Middle (HS: Mater Dei/Club: Mizuno Long Beach/Verbal:&nbsp; Uncommitted)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Liv is currently ranked as the 46^th best overall prospect in the Prep Dig California State Rankings for the class of 2023.&nbsp; She plays at Mater Dei High School and club for famed Mizuno Long Beach club program. &nbsp;She has tallied 185 kills on an amazingly efficient .432 hitting percentage.&nbsp; Her defensive play has been stellar with 125 total blocks at the net.&nbsp; She has led her team to an overall record of 29-8 and also 7-1 in conference play.&nbsp; I love how she rises up off of the ground so rapidly.&nbsp; It makes it very difficult for opposing blockers to time her.&nbsp; She runs a slide like a beast and no one can stop her, which is why she is so efficient.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Mckenna Brady&nbsp;[2023] 6-1 Middle (HS: Fresno Christian/Verbal: Uncommitted)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mckenna is currently an unranked prospect in the 2025 Class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. &nbsp;She is a fantastic middle at Fresno Christian High School.&nbsp; She has tallied 163 kills on a fabulous .307 hitting percentage.&nbsp; But what makes her very valuable this year is her blocking as she has tallied 120 total blocks and 102 of them were solo.&nbsp; She is a stud on the soccer pitch also for Fresno Christian.&nbsp; She has been killing overpasses, scoring out of system and also turning on quick tempo sets to the corners really well this year.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stay tuned for more articles on your favorite athletes.&nbsp; If you have anyone you think we should watch out for, please shoot me an email with some info at <a href="mailto:nov8vb@yahoo.com">nov8vb@yahoo.com</a>.&nbsp; Also don't forget to help these kids get more exposure by sharing our stories with your friends.&nbsp; Help us help them by simply retweeting on Twitter or sharing on Facebook.&nbsp; Thanks for following Cali Family!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
