Jaw-Dropping Junior Scorers – Vol 4

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The high school season is ramping up district play and there are some players that are scoring at will all over the court.&nbsp; These young ladies cannot be stopped.&nbsp; They are scoring in bunches for their varsity squads and no one has been able to slow them down.&nbsp; This series of articles will be highlighting players in every grade level who are filling up the stat books.&nbsp; This next article series will cover the junior class and give props to the attackers who are leading the entire state in kills.&nbsp; Please help us recognize the following players.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='307446' first='Reagan' last='Sharp']&nbsp;[2024] 6-1 Outside/Right Side (HS: Keller/Club: [program_tooltip program_id='431200' first='[program_tooltip program_id='431200' first='Madfrog' last='']' last='']/ Verbal: Uncommitted)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Reagan is currently an unranked prospect according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but has been on my watch list and will be in the running to make it once I update it next month.&nbsp; She is a talented pin attacker for Keller High School and also for the nationally recognized [program_tooltip program_id='431200' first='[program_tooltip program_id='431200' first='Madfrog' last='']' last=''] volleyball club.&nbsp; I watched her this season at Volleypalooza as she has stepped into a major offensive role for Keller considering that two of their stars were hurt this year.&nbsp; This did not affect Miss Sharp as she showed some amazing resolve and leadership.&nbsp; She has tallied 472 kills on a .236 hitting percentage.&nbsp; I love how she has approached her junior season with open arms and the “next woman up” mentality.&nbsp; She has welcomed the offensive load on her shoulders and not blinked.&nbsp; This is nothing new for her as she has been a threat to score for the past few years. &nbsp;I love how she keeps her feet moving fast in transition, which leads her to create so much momentum to hit the ball hard.&nbsp; She is able to use her long reach to keep the ball away from would be blockers.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Taylor Kubacak&nbsp;[2024] 5-11 Setter/Outside (HS: Tivy/Club: Alamo/Verbal: Uncommitted)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Taylor is currently an unranked prospect in the 2024 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but is on my watch list after noticing her this high school season.&nbsp; She stars as both a setter and hitter for Tivy High School and also plays club for the famed Alamo volleyball program.&nbsp; What is absolutely remarkable about Miss Kubacak is the fact that she is not only a gifted attacker, but she is smooth as a setter also.&nbsp; Her kill total for the year is sitting at 488 on a fantastic .250 hitting percentage.&nbsp; I love watching her play the game because she plays it with so much fire and emotion.&nbsp; She takes a very aggressive and violent approach to the ball on the left side and it helps her unload a lot of power onto the ball to score for her squad.&nbsp; Tivy pushes the tempo on the left side and Taylor is able to catch up to the ball and thread the needle between the block with ferocity.&nbsp; She is a force on the court in any role and college need to take a look right now because she can play at the next level.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Julia Hopkins&nbsp;[2024] 6-0 Outside (HS: Round Rock Westwood/Club: Roots/Verbal: Uncommitted)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Julia is currently an unranked prospect in the 2024 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings,but is on our watch list.&nbsp; She plays at Round Rock Westwood High School and also for the Roots Volleyball club.&nbsp; Miss Hopkins has tallied 462 kills on a .229 hitting percentage during her junior season.&nbsp; She has every shot you would want in a left side attacker and uses great court vision to see the holes in the block.&nbsp; Her power is elite and she can absolutely play at the next level.&nbsp; Miss Hopkins has a great frame and solid arm swing to score on anyone.&nbsp; I love how she uses torque to turn on the ball and hit hard down the line.&nbsp; When she does this to her opponent, it is almost unstoppable.&nbsp; We will be watching her very closely to see how she stacks up with the players on the Rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stay tuned for more articles on your favorite athletes.&nbsp;
