Continue ReadingThe high school season is ramping up district play and there are some players that are scoring at will all over the court. These young ladies cannot be stopped. They are scoring in bunches for their varsity squads and no one has been able to slow them down. This series of articles will be highlighting players in every grade level who are filling up the stat books. We are going to start with the sensational senior class and give props to the attackers who are leading the entire state in kills. Please help us recognize the following players.
Brooklyn Jaeger Brooklyn Jaeger 5'9" | OH Fayetteville | 2023 State TX [2023] 5-9 Outside (HS: Fayetteville/Club: Texstar/ Verbal: Texas A&M Corpus Christi)
Brooklyn is the 105th ranked prospect in the 2023 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays for Fayetteville High School and also for Texstar Volleyball club. We have profiled her a few times over the last couple of years and she has been a consistent attacker. Last high school season she led all of Texas in kills. This year is a little more of the same. I have watched her in person and she is a very explosive dynamo on the left side. While smaller than most outsides, she still plays very well above the net due to an awesome vertical and a crazy pop on the ball when she makes hand contact. She also moves the ball around the block very well as she has exceptional shot making abilities. Brooklyn has already tallied 693 kills on a very impressive and efficient .330 hitting percentage. The Texas A&M Corpus Christi commit is having a stellar senior season. We will be watching to see how it ends.
Bianna Muoneke Bianna Muoneke 6'0" | OH Cy Ranch | 2023 State #80 Nation TX [2023] 6-0 Outside (HS: Cy Ranch/Club: Houston Juniors /Verbal: Texas A&M)
Bianna is currently ranked as the 11th best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She stars on the outside for Cypress Ranch high school and also for the awesome Houston Juniors program. I just profiled her with an article last month and here is what I stated, “While I watched her at the Volleypalooza tourney, Miss Muoneke was stellar to say the least in every aspect of the sport. She had almost every spectator in awe of her amazing vertical with every attack. Just when her team needed it, she seemed to revive them with a power shot. The entire varsity team would be electrified with energy with every swing. A player of her caliber brings so much to her team that the stat book doesn’t keep track of. It was so much fun to watch her do her thing at a high level for so many matches. If Cy Ranch goes to state like many think they will, Bianna will be one of the main reasons and has a chance to earn MVP honors.” She has been on a tear this year and has already tallied 643 kills on a whopping .402 hitting percentage. She has her team ranked in the top five in almost every publication’s rankings. It is due in large part to her production as a scorer. We are keeping our eyes on her for All-State selection.
Sadie McAda Sadie McAda 6'0" | OH Pleasonton | 2023 State TX [2023] 6-0 Outside (HS: Pleasanton/Club: San Antonio Magic /Verbal: Southern Mississippi)
Miss McAda is currently ranked as the 110th best overall player in the 2023 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays at Pleasanton High School and also club for San Antonio Magic . In her senior season she has amassed 583 kills on a great .359 hitting percentage. What I love about Sadie is how she is able to score from any location on the court. She is great from out of system attacks from the back row also. I was able to watch her a few times this past club season and her offensive game is definitely elite. It is going to be very difficult for Pleasanton to replace such a prolific scorer. All of us will be watching her senior season very closely as she has a chance to eclipse 2000 career kills once it is all said and done.
