Sensational Senior Scorers – Vol 3

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The high school season is ramping up district play and there are some players that are scoring at will all over the court.&nbsp; These young ladies cannot be stopped.&nbsp; They are scoring in bunches for their varsity squads and no one has been able to slow them down.&nbsp; This series of articles will be highlighting players in every grade level who are filling up the stat books.&nbsp; We are going to continue with the sensational senior class and give props to the attackers who are leading the entire state in kills.&nbsp; Please help us recognize the following players.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='141116' first='Sydney' last='Garrison'] [2023] 5-11 Outside (HS: Aubrey/Club: Tejas/ Verbal: Tarleton State)</strong> </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"align":"right","id":169208,"width":267,"height":178,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image alignright size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pd/uploads/2021/12/33-Sydney-Garrison-1024x682.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-169208" width="267" height="178"/></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sydney is currently listed as the 58^th&nbsp;best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings.&nbsp; She is a true six-rotation pin hitter from Aubrey High School and also from Tejas Volleyball club from the North Texas Region.&nbsp; We profiled her a while back and stated the following about her, <em>“When college coaches ask me about players, they usually are looking for one type of outside.&nbsp; Either they want a banger or a ball control kid to balance out their roster.&nbsp; Syd is a combo of both.&nbsp; She can literally do it all on the court and her accolades show exactly that.&nbsp; When I watched her in person, I was drawn to her blocking footwork and how she reads the hitter.&nbsp; Everyone knows that Miss Garrison is a phenomenal attacker, but she is much more than that if you pay attention.&nbsp; She is the type of player you can build a team around and every coach across the country should give her the attention her play deserves.”</em>&nbsp; She has not stopped her offensive barrage on opponents during her senior season as she has tallied the 7^th most kills in the state amongst seniors.&nbsp; She currently sits at 577 kills on a .308 hitting percentage.&nbsp; This kind of offensive production is nothing new to us or anyone who has followed her career because she is an assassin on the court.&nbsp; Not many players can say that they have surpassed the 2k kill mark on their career, but this fireballer can.&nbsp; She will have an immediate impact for Tarleton State from the moment she arrives on campus next season.&nbsp; In the meantime, we will enjoy watching her finish out a wonderful career.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='153295' first='Karly' last='Wells']&nbsp;[2023] 6-1 Right Side/Outside/Setter (HS: Keller Central/Club: Dallas Skyline/Verbal: Dallas Baptist University)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Karly is currently ranked as the 120^th best overall player in the 2023 class according to our State Rankings.&nbsp; I recently wrote an article on her when she committed to Dallas Baptist and here is a little refresher of what I wrote, <em>“She is a lengthy “slash” player from the Dallas area who can truly do it all on the court.&nbsp; She plays high school at Keller Central High School and club for the awesome Dallas Skyline volleyball program. &nbsp;I call her a “slash” player because she can literally do it all on the court.&nbsp; She plays left side slash right side slash setter.&nbsp;She has the length to be such a factor on the net whether attacking or blocking.&nbsp; But she truly excels on the offensive end with her natural power and fantastic hand contact.”</em>&nbsp; The Dallas Baptist University commit has been on a tear this season and has amassed 531 kills on a super impressive .345 hitting percentage.&nbsp; This young lady will be what college coaches call an “Impact Player” at DBU.&nbsp; She will be a true game changer for them with her overall skill-set as a setter/hitter.&nbsp; Both positions are played at an elite level from Karly.&nbsp; We are proud of her accomplishments so far this season and cannot wait to see how her stats look at the end of the season.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='141246' first='Gracie' last='Campbell'] [2023] 5-10 Outside (HS: Klein Oak/Club: Woodlands Revolution/Verbal: Nicholls State)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Gracie is currently ranked as the 118^th best overall prospect in the 2023 class. &nbsp;She is a great pin hitter from Klein Oak High School and also plays club for Woodlands Revolution out of the Lone Star Region. &nbsp;This slugger has tallied 612 kills so far this year on a stellar .309 hitting percentage.&nbsp; That kind of efficiency will lead her team to the promised land called the UIL State Playoffs.&nbsp; She has routinely averaged high double-digit kills in every match this season.&nbsp; Gracie is the type of attacker that gets set wherever she is on the court.&nbsp; Her setters know how dangerous she is and feed her early and often.&nbsp; I have seen her be able to not even take an approach during out of system plays and still be able to touch high and hit hard for a score.&nbsp; The Nicholls State commit will do a great job at the next level once she steps on campus.&nbsp; In the meantime we will watch her dominance one more time.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stay tuned for more articles on your favorite athletes.&nbsp;
