Continue ReadingThe high school season is ramping up district play and there are some players that are scoring at will all over the court. These young ladies cannot be stopped. They are scoring in bunches for their varsity squads and no one has been able to slow them down. This series of articles will be highlighting players in every grade level who are filling up the stat books. This next article series will cover the sophomore class and give props to the attackers who are leading the entire state in kills. Please help us recognize the following players.
Keonahi’ilani Solaita Keonahi’ilani Solaita 5'10" | OH Oak Hills | 2025 State CA [2025] 5-10 Outside (HS: Oak Hills/ Club: Rancho Valley/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Keonahi’Ilani is currently an unranked prospect in the Prep Dig California State Rankings for the class of 2025, but that is only because we have not released them yet. She plays at Oak Hills High School and club for Rancho Valley. This season she currently has 378 kills on a massive .384 hitting percentage. The words I would use to describe Miss Solaita super smooth with it. She plays the game at a very good pace and volleyball just seems to come natural to her. Her team is not afraid to go to her even when she is in the back row and like the mailman…she delivers every time. I love her court vision as she knows how to keep her arm at a fast pace during her down swing or take something off of it in order to tool the block or find a hole in the defense. For only being a sophomore, she truly plays like an upperclassman. She has the frame and power for colleges to start noticing right now. I cannot wait to see where she ranks once I release the updated rankings in the coming months.
Fallyn Blotzer Fallyn Blotzer 6'1" | OH Corona Santiago | 2025 State #16 Nation CA [2025] 6-1 Outside (HS: Santiago/Club: Forza1 North/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Fallyn is currently an unranked prospect in the Prep Dig California State Rankings for the class of 2025, but that is only because we have not released them yet. She plays at Santiago High School and club for Forza1 North. She has tallied 366 kills on an amazing .373 hitting percentage. From what I have seen this past club season and now during the high school season, this young lady will have no problem being ranked really high once I release the rankings for this class. Her potential is through the roof and many colleges are already talking about her. She will wow everyone with her offensive abilities. I love how bouncy she is and how fast she comes off of the ground. We always teach younger players to not have their feet stick on the ground too long with their last two steps and Miss Blotzer is perfect at this. But if you don’t line up with her hitting shoulder well enough, you will be too late for her electric arm swing. She unleashes amazing power from high up in the air with that golden right arm of hers. She plays the game with tons of confidence and she has every right to with her skill-set. We will be following her career very closely and you should also.
Kyra Zaengle [2025] 5-8 Outside/Libero (HS: Laguna Beach/Club: Tstreet/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Kyra is currently an unranked prospect in the 2025 Class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings, but that is because we have not released them yet. She plays at Laguna Beach High School and club for the nationally recognized Tstreet program. She has tallied 364 kills on a .190 hitting percentage this season while also starring in the back row with 324 digs. Miss Zaengle also stars on the beach. As if this wasn’t enough to say about her abilities, she is a STUD on the beach scene as well. She is a 4-time beach national champion and she is only a sophomore. This kiddo can fly, has excellent control over her swing and uses amazing court vision. Despite being a little smaller than most outside hitters, don’t sleep on her because you will be sorry if you do. She can ball and will be a force for the next few years. She will have no problems being a ranked player once I update them. Stay tuned to where she falls on the rankings.
