At 18-7 overall, the Knights were unbeaten in Northwest conference play, including a previous win over conference foe Leipsic earlier in the season. They played a tough non-conference schedule, which is seemingly paying dividends for the 16th ranked DIV team in Ohio. They have great balance in their offense and next have a big test in the regional semifinals against #6 ranked Calvert, which is an interesting match up given the personnel and strengths each team has on their side. Here are some of the key athletes for Crestview.

Crestview’s setter, Gregory is probably the most important piece to this team given her stat line. As her third varsity season winds down, she is approaching 2,000 career assists of which she has earned 730 of those so far this season for an 8.8 assists per set average. Gregory is also a very savvy front row threat as she will call her number often upon the second contact and has court awareness and a range of plays she can make to score as a front row setter. She is just shy of 200 kills on the season and is averaging 2.3 kills per set in providing another dimension to the Knights’ point scoring among the trio of capable arms they have. Gregory also contributes 8.0 digs and 1.9 blocks per match and is the team leader in service aces.

Etzler, at 6’2, is a big presence at the net given her length and ability to contact high at the end of her approach work. She is utilized in every front row position and can score just as effectively at either pin as she can through quicker tempos in the middle. By a slim margin she leads this team offensively as she has 270 kills on the season and on the verge of eclipsing her career high output from a season ago. She his hitting at a career high efficiency of .269 while also contributing 2.0 blocks per match on the defensive side.
Laci McCoy – 2023 | OH
McCoy also has good versatility in her ability to score from a variety of locations. She has a nice arm in the air that allows her to generate good pace upon contact that challenges defenses well. She gets her feet to the ball with good torque action that allows her to move the ball around down the line or through the cross court. She had 12 kills in the Knights’ win over Leipsic, which took her over the 1,000 career kills mark. She averages 3.2 kills per set with a career efficiency of .245.
Adelyn Figley – 2025 | OH
Just a sophomore, Figley is the third arm on this team averaging at three kills per set or better. The 5’10 outside hitter has the best arm mechanics on this team as she generates good lift and balance in the air and opens well to the ball with a high elbow position. She plays with great confidence as a primary left side option and has significantly upgraded her efficiency from a season ago as she has seen the most attempts on the team and is currently hitting at .228. Figley has a nice ceiling in her game given her current skills and production among a solid core group.
