2025 Productive Setters from H.S. Season

Earning a share of the Miami Valley Conference title, the Spartans had a quartet of hitters that Hughes involved with good balance as collectively they averaged 11.7 kills per set while hitting .288. The 2nd Team all-league honoree dished over 300 assists more than the next highest performing setter in the league. Hughes averaged 6.4 digs per match while leading the team in total service aces with 74.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Ashley Sims</strong> - London<br>The 5'11 Sims nearly doubled her total assists output from a season ago as she distributed 929 in 2022 for an 11.9 assists per set averaged. She now has nearly 1,450 assists for her career. She earned 2nd Team honors in the Central Buckeye conference after leading the league in total assists. London finished 22-3 overall and second in league play in the Kenton Trail division.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='176103' first='Rachel' last='Meyer'] </strong>- Avon Lake<br>With 1690 career assists, Meyer bested her 2021 output by dishing a total of 870 assists for a career best 10.6 assists per set average. Avon Lake's offense was very productive as the team collectively averaged 13.2 kills per set while hitting at a .259 efficiency. Meyer made an impact in other areas as well as she averaged nearly 10 digs per match while also leading her team in total service aces with 65. Avon Lake finished 17-7 overall as Meyer was a 2nd Team all-league selection in the Southwestern Conference.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Shelby Bloor</strong> - Westlake<br>Bloor averaged 10.0 assists per set in guiding Westlake's offense. The Demons finished at 17-6 overall and second in the Great Lakes conference as Bloor led their distribution that amounted to 11.9 kills per set and a .263 efficiency as a team. She contributed well on the defensive side also as she was second on the team in total blocks. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Taryn Fath</strong> - Smithville<br>Fath earned 932 assists on the season as she average 10.0 a/s as the Smithies were 20-5 overall and earned share of the conference title in the Wayne County Athletic League. She also earned 9.0 digs per match. Fath now has over 1,100 assists for her career entering into her junior season in 2023. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
