Tulsa Power Volleyball is located in Tulsa and exploded on the scene last year. After Club ONE merged with UPVBC, TPV was sort of a by product of it all. Former ORU head coach, Sheera Sirola, is the club director. She also coached the 15-1 team last season that finished ranked 27th IN THE NATION. Former collegiate player herself and current Holland Hall staff member will be the 15-1 head coach this season. She will be assisted by fellow Holland Hall staff member, Nikki Cool.
Here is the roster and some possible positions they may play this season.
Ana Appel- Setter from Victory Christian School. Victory always seems to produce solid setters. Head coach Dan Donahue and his quality staff always has their kid’s skills coached well.
Lilia Beniot- Setter/Defensive Specialist from Jenks High School. She will battle Murphy all season, which will be good for both players. They will likely lead a strong SR game for this team.
Cati Borchers- Middle Blocker/Right Side from Jenks High School. Sister of Juliana, who started this season for Jenks. She has the height and athleticism like her sister did at this age. She will extend over the net better than most and disrupt hitters.
Brooklyn Dalgarn- Middle Blocker/Right Side from Booker T. Washington High School. BTW has had some really solid hitters lately for Brooklyn to learn from and mimic. They work hard and play together at BTW. If it translated over from school to club, she will be a spark plug for them.
Emerson Hill- Libero/Defensive Specialist from Jenks High School. She is a quality passer but even better leader. She will help push this team and set a high standard.
Ady Johnson- Outside Hitter from Claremore Sequoyah High School. She is already a varsity starter for her high school. She is a smart hitter than isn’t afraid to hit shots rather than swing big all the time.
Brooklyn Meek- Right Side from Broken Arrow High School. Look for her to be a big block and solid option when the going gets tough.
Isabella Murphy- Libero/Defensive Specialist from Jenks High School. Jenks has had a string of really good DS players. Being in such a deep talent pool makes for create competition. Great competition drives great players.
Devine Okon- Middle Blocker/Outside Hitter from Broken Arrow High School. I have heard nothing but good things about Devine. She could end up being a difference maker on this team.
Kami Tate- Outside Hitter/Right Side from Jenks High School. Look for her to do a little bit of everything. She will likely find herself pulled back in SR at times, hitting in the front row and maybe even digging in the back row.
Kennedy Welsh- Libero/Defensive Specialist from Cascia Hall Preparatory. Cascia and TPV will benefit from having this hard working DS on the team.
A few tournaments you can catch them out are: Tulsa Attack, Rankings Tournament, and Lone Star National Qualifier.
Speak of tournaments, Prep Dig will be hosting out own in Tulsa on March 11th and 12th. It is located on AES and we will have scouts there to give live updates, take pictures and write articles!
