Virago Volleyball Club is located in Sapulpa, just southwest of Tulsa. Virago has been on a steady incline, they have created more teams each of the last couple seasons, as well as increase their rankings within the state. The club director is Corey Harp, Head coach at Sapulpa High school.
Here is the roster and some possible positions they may play this season.
Savanah Wright- Setter from Jenks High School. She will be a top notch player in the coming years for the power house that is Jenks High School. She has a high IQ and some great athleticism at a young age.
Joley Robison- Setter from Broken Arrow High School. She has great hands and can already set some up tempo sets. She will likely help this team play with some pace and keep the defenses guessing.
Rylie Steward- Pin Hitter from Sapulpa High School. She is like a swiss army knife, she can do a little bit of everything. She has set at times, played middle, played on the pins and even some back row. She will help this team no matter where she is plugged in at. She will likely see some varsity time next season for the Sapulpa Chieftains.
Addy Falat- Middle Blocker from Jenks High School. Addy has a solid reach and can put up a formidable block.
Avi Martinez- Middle Blocker from Jenks High School. Avi played for Virago14-1 last season and grew leaps and bounds. If she has that same growth this season, watch out come regional time.
Jael Williams- Middle Blocker from Union High School. Jael could possibly slide to right side due to her quick transition and solid approach. This will allow an even more balanced attack.
Brenda Carter- Pin Hitter from Tulsa Memorial High School. She can really get off the ground. When her skills catch up to her athleticism, she will be a legit threat for the Green Country Conference.
Kylee Crowley- Pin Hitter from Broken Arrow High School. She has a heavy arm and defenses will pay if they do not put up a well formed block.
Olivia Brand Olivia Brand 5'7" | OH Coweta | 2025 State OK – Pin Hitter from Coweta High School. She can do a little bit of everything as well. She started out as a libero before playing up for Virago 15-1 as a pin hitter. She has now moved to a state contender in Coweta and quickly became the starting OH2 on varsity! She will be a great addition in whatever capacity she is asked.
Baylee Belt- Pin Hitter from Coweta High School. Very similar to her school and club teammate, Brand, she is qualified to play just about any position on the court. She will likely shine as a pin hitter and back row player.
Tatum Simmons- Libero/Defensive Specialist from Jenks High School. Great court awareness and great technical skills. She may be in line to take over the DS/L position on varsity in the near future. She will do well in SR but even better as a leader on the court.
A few tournaments you can catch them out are: Redlands Rendezvous, Adidas Classic and Battle at the Fort.
Speak of tournaments, Prep Dig will be hosting our own in Tulsa on March 11th and 12th. It is located on AES and we will have scouts there to give live updates, take pictures and write articles!
