This season, Prep Dig is contributing even more to the success of the club season in Texas, bringing as many at three Prep Dig Top 250 Expos to the state, all set to happen during the month of December. These events will not only provide athletes the opportunity to take part in high-level training but also get them invaluable exposure to both our scouts and college coaches who will be in attendance
The first of them will take place at the Southwest Athletic Center, in Carrollton, in the Dallas area, and we’re excited to already have nearly 150 of the most interesting athletes of the area registered to take part in it. As the event quickly approaches, we’ll highlight some of the prospects who will be on the court, starting today with the middles.
Burriss is one of the most promising middles to emerge in the Dallas region over the last few years. Ranked 33rd in our Class of 2025 Prep Dig State Rankings, she plays for solid high school (Lovejoy) and club (Dallas Skyline) programs and is progressing at a truly impressive pace. Her offense is her calling card as Burriss is a formidable scorer, combining a remarkable ability to hit different sets, very quick feet and a fast and powerful right arm.
Scott is fresh from leading her high school team Blum to a state title in division 1A while making it to the All-Tournament Team and is expected to have an equally important role with her club team NRG. Also capable of playing on the right, she’s very long and has great athleticism. Her offensive motion is really beautiful to watch and she uses her arms very well to get off the floor and then to hit the ball hard. Scott is also a very good blocker, using her length and excellent timing to send the ball straight back to the opponents’ court. Her all-around game is very solid too, as she can also serve and pass the ball well.

Another class of 2025 prospect with tremendous upside, Collier joined our Prep Dig State Rankings a few months ago and has just gotten better since then. She has all the tools to be a dominant middle and is quickly developing into it, impacting the game on both sides of the ball. Collier’s length is very impressive as she looks (and plays) a lot taller than her six-foot-tall frame. She has excellent reading of the game and reacts really well when trying to stop opponents at the net. Her offense is also very productive as she has a heavy right arm, makes contact with the ball at a high point and does an excellent job in making herself available for her setters in transition.
Highlights
Ryea Jackson
Ryea Jackson
Jackson did an excellent job in getting considerable playing time on a Keller team that was absolutely loaded and competitive and appeared on the State Tournament as a freshman. Her size and physical tools will provide her the platform to evolve into a dominant player, but, although her game is still a work in progress, she already makes the most of her tools with her impressive understanding of the game. Jackson is an elite blocker as she moves well, is able to put on a big block and has excellent timing.
Simone Heard
Simone Heard
Heard was another freshman to make a big impact with her high school team, earning a starting spot and playing a big role with Plano East. She’s very strong at the net and significantly versatile, being able to hit from the middle, the right and even the left. Heard is a big jumper and has a hammer or a right arm, being very difficult to stop when in-system.
