This season, Prep Dig is contributing even more to the success of the club season in Texas, bringing as many at three Prep Dig Top 250 Expos to the state, all set to happen during the month of December. These events will not only provide athletes the opportunity to take part in high-level training but also get them invaluable exposure to both our scouts and college coaches who will be in attendance
The first of them will take place at the Southwest Athletic Center, in Carrollton, in the Dallas area, and we’re excited to already have more than 150 of the most interesting athletes of the area registered to take part in it. As the event quickly approaches, we’ll highlight some of the prospects who will be on the court. We already covered the middles, so now it’s time we take a look at some of the most talented setters who are set to be on the court.
A long and athletic setter with excellent physical tools, Beauford is coming from a great high school season with Prosper. Her body control and her mobility are outstanding and she does a great job in adjusting her body to the pass before making contact with the ball. Beauford’s strong arms also give her the ability to send the ball where she wants from anywhere on the court and to set against the flow with ease. One of the top Class of 2025 prospects according to our Prep Dig State Rankings, she’s a very complete player, who can also hit, block and play defense at a very high level.
Highlights
Another playmaker with excellent length, Bridges has tallied over 1,000 assists over the last two high school seasons with Guyer. She had a very strong group of hitters to work with this season and made the best of it, using her excellent ball distribution to make the team succeed. Bridges is very smooth with her setting and is great at using her length to quickly push the ball to both pins. She also has a tough floater and can play excellent defense out of the right.
Highlights
A six-footer, Moore is extremely dynamic and mobile for a setter of her size. She moves around the court really well, quickly gets to out-of-system passes and is always in great position to make plays. Moore likes to play fast, but always keeps her locations accurate, no matter what. She’s also an excellent leader for the teams she plays for, combining tremendous hard work, excellent production and a very positive attitude on the court.
Highlights
A crafty and creative ballhandler, Warren is among the top setters in the state in her class. She’s electric on the court and has a very quick and smooth release, which makes her very difficult to read for opposing blockers. Despite her 5’7″ frame, Warren is capable of making fairly athletic plays and of impacting the game on defense. She produced nearly 1,300 assists for Hendrickson in the last high school season.
Resta is another setter who’s ready to carry the momentum she built during the high school season into club. She recently guided her Mansfield team with excellent production, tallying more than 1,000 assists over the course of the season. Her setting technique is really interesting as Resta always fully stretches her arms before making contact with the ball, getting a really clean release. She also has good size, being an asset at the net, and plays good defense.
