Madison Miner – OH | Perry
Miner terminated an average of 5.0 kills per set to help guide the Pirates to a 16-8 overall record. With 400 total kills on the season, she was efficient as she terminated 50% of her opportunities for a .332 clip. As she is effective through a variety of attack points and tempos in front of the setter, it is her arm control that contributes a lot to her success as she can move the ball around well for power or placement in response to what the defense creates in front of her.
Lucy Schlotterer – OH | Norwalk
Through over twice as many attempts as any of her teammates, Schlotterer was certainly the go-to arm for the Truckers in 2022. She produced well at 5.2 kills per set and can be even more effective and efficient going forward as she looks to minimize errors in the coming years. She had a monster match versus Perkins in early October during which she terminated a career high 35 kills. The pin hitter has a nice arm in the air with torque movement that allows her to create good pace and range upon contact.

– OH | Archbold
The 5’11 outside hitter is definitely one to keep an eye on as she transitions to the club season with Legacy’s top U16 team. She increased her offensive production in year two at the varsity level to earn 370 total kills on nearly twice as many swings. Her 4.8 kills per set average is a big leap from last season. She has good length in the air upon contact and can can generate good reaction to the defense with pace and movement. Culler opened the season with a 25 kills performance and then established a new career high of 28 kills in a single match in early October.
Christian Thompson – OH | Fairfield Union
At 4.7 kills per set, Thompson was the best point producer for the Falcons in 2022. With 376 total kills, she hit at an impressive .343 efficiency. She earned double-digit kills in all but two matches on the season with a career high 28 kills in a four-set loss to Hamilton Township. Thompson had seven matches at 20 kills or more to go along with her 4.2 digs per set average.
Lacy Longshaw – OH/MH | Yellow Springs
Longshaw saw a huge uptick in her contributions this season as she averaged 4.1 kills per set to lead Yellow Springs offensively. Earning 327 total kills on the season, she also led the Bulldogs in efficiency at .372 and in total blocks with 54. Yellow Springs was 8-1 in league play to claim the conference title as Longshaw was a 1st Team all-league selection.
