It is so fun to watch such high-level athletes playing competitively, like at the Expo. The liberos kept crazy tough balls alive and showed their depth on serve receive. Here are some impressive athletes who performed big-time at the Wisconsin Top 250 Expo.
Makenna was scrappy yet consistent on the court. She picked up anything that came her way, tips, balls in coverage, and powerhouse swings. She was disciplined in her movement and did a great job putting up good passes for her setters. Makenna definitely impressed me throughout the Top 250 Expo.
Natalie is a very experience libero and it showed at the Top 250 Expo. She played with confidence and was a leader in the back court. Natalie can play well anywhere on the court and she is a very high-level serve receiver and defender. She has great fundamentals and is quick and scrappy in her play. She was fearless going up against some of the best hitters in the state.
Kati is an all around impressive athlete. She was a huge asset to Burlington in their State Tournament run and has a calm and confident court presence. She is crazy talented at reading opposing hitters and has a lightning-fast reaction time on serve receive and defense. Kati is confident putting up out of system sets as well, making her even more dynamic as an athlete.
Braylin had clean angles and an energetic attitude. I saw her chase after multiple balls and almost took out a videographer at one point. She pursued everything and always wanted to keep the ball alive. Braylin was scrappy and quick.
Maddie was dominant on the court. She played exceptionally well out of left and middle back. Her serve receive was also superb. I appreciate her consistency and discipline in the back row which allowed her to make big-time saves against some tough hitters. She was aggressive and fast in the back row as well.

Durst can do it all. Seriously though. She won a Division 1 State Championship this year with DSHA as a six-rotation outside and is now transitioning into a role as a DS/libero. She is a very talented defender and has a lot of experience. She played very well at the Top 250 Expo and continues to impress me every time I see her play.
