In the next round, they will play either the Ridge Point Panthers or the Cy-Fair Bobcats.

Brooklynn Merrell

The libero was probably Tompkins’ most consistent player in the match. Merrell was very reliable with her passing, registering 15 actions, and made excellent digs out of the left to a match total of 23. She was very effective when setting in transition and had a good serving run at the start of set two that helped the Falcons regain some confidence and start their comeback. The libero had great success with her serving all night, firing three aces and constantly getting Cy Creek out of system. With her production in the match, she set a new all-time season record for aces with the Falcons.
Tchouangwa may have had better matches in terms of consistency during the season but it’s undeniable that she came up big for the Falcons in key moments and led the team’s scoring with 23 kills. After a slow set one, the right side got her offense going on set two and her power made a difference for Tompkins at the net as after she got into her rhythm her team was never challenged again. Tchouangwa was also productive on the backcourt with 23 digs and 17 passes and had great moments with her blocking, getting five stops at the net.
Tendai Titley

The versatile outside hitter was arguably Tompkins’ most consistent offensive player. Titley used her power to overcome Cy Creek’s block when she was in a good position to do so and was resourceful enough to have success with tips and pushes when the set was too tight, avoiding unforced errors and registering 19 kills. She was also solid with her passing (12) and got a lot of touches on defense (27) besides three blocks.
Jaeda Rawls-Fletcher

The high-flying middle used her athleticism very well to battle Tompkins’ heavy hitters at the net. Rawls-Fletcher consistently got on their way at the net, either getting stuffs or at least slowing them down. She wasn’t set so often, but converted at a high rate when she was used on offense. Rawls-Fletcher also handled two overpasses really well on set one and was a key player in the Cougars’ victory on it.
Grace Krohn

The setter had a really solid performance, adjusting her offensive game plan to what the match called for. When out of system, Krohn played simple and prioritized her accuracy. When she got the ball close to the net, she ran good combinations and made excellent decisions with her distribution. Krohn also contributed on defense and with setter dumps. Her size also proved to be an asset at the net as she got a couple of blocks and won jousts.
