Greenberry is such an imposing figure in the middle that she alters the game in more ways than what shows up on the stats. The 6’3″ middle only finished with 550 kills and 87 blocks, guiding her team to a Class 4 2nd place finish. Tara will be a D1 talent and has to be the best middle in her class in the state.
Jenna Cubbage Jenna Cubbage 5'11" | MB Eureka | 2025 State MO – Outside – Eureka
The sophomore shined on a senior-laden team on the outside with 237 kills for the Wildcats. A big approach and high arm swing allow the 6’0″ to hit over the block and be the next level outside, or she can play middle.
Reagan Nelson Reagan Nelson 6'0" | OH Pattonville | 2025 State #107 Nation MO – Outside – Pattonville
Nelson followed up a sensational first year with a sensational sophomore year, where she would finish with 465 kills and 391 blocks. The 6’0″ attacker has a vicious swing and already has 2034 career attempts. You’ll be watching this one on TV in a couple of years.
Maya Witherspoon Maya Witherspoon 5'11" | OH Lafayette | 2025 State #44 Nation MO – Outside/Middle – Lafayette
Witherspoon capped off the year by leading her team to a Class 5 state title, with 21 kills in the state semifinals and 17 in the finals. She is a massive attack on the left, but I love watching her play middle the most. Quick and athletic with a great jump, she gets the most out of her approach—one of the best in her class.
Hannah Leftridge Hannah Leftridge 5'10" | OH St. Pius X (Festus) | 2025 State MO – Outside – St. Pius X
Part of the youth movement for the Lancers, Leftridge is the top attacker on her team and a solid six rotation outside. Hannah led her team to a district title and finished with 339 kills and 280 digs. She is a quick and powerful outside with a wicked-cut shot.
Jordan Smith Jordan Smith 6'4" | OH Francis Howell Central | 2025 State #59 Nation MO – Opposite – Howell Central
Jordan moved to the outside this year for Howell Central and had a phenomenal season. The 6’4″ outside hit a high ball over the block and finished with 304 kills. I liked her most last season playing opposite, where she was a shutdown blocker.
Kaitlyn Diani-O’Day Kaitlyn Diani-O’Day 5'8" | S Lutheran (St. Peters) | 2025 State MO – Setter – Lutheran St. Charles
At 5’10”, she has good height, sweet hands, high volleyball IQ, solid precision to the pins, and runs a quick offense. Offensively aggressive and provides a solid block. She has amassed 1787 assists in two years, with 983 coming this year.
Ella Keeven Ella Keeven 5'8" | S Marquette | 2025 State MO – Setter – Marquette
She is probably one of my favorite setters to watch in this class because of her court presence. She makes her teammates better; if she weren’t a setter, she could be a terminating opposite. Ella dished 721 assists this year, 211 digs, and 70 kills.
Allie Fuchs – Libero – Incarnate Word
One of the best defenders at the state tournament led all 2025 players in digs this year with 586. She is a quick libero with great reads and a pinpoint passer. She is one of the top defenders in the state for any class.
