You don’t often see a 5-foot-6 hitter cashing in on her swings, but Buhr is that player. She gets up off the court quickly and keeps rising. She hammers down hard, often putting the defense on its heels. She picked up 10 kills, 19 digs, two service aces and an assist in this one.
Hannah Knight
Hannah Knight
Like Buhr, Knight is an undersized hitter according to the prototype. She’s an excellent athlete who jumps and moves very well. She paced her team with 13 kills and also notched 15 digs. She had a block, an ace and an assist as well.
Sydney Matthias
Sydney Matthias
Matthias sticks out for her skills and technical soundness. She excels as a setter but aids her team in other ways. In this match, she posted a contest-best 39 assists. She chipped in with 18 digs, five kills and three service aces.
One half of a powerful set of twins, Molly Shafer Molly Shafer OH Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont | 2025 State IA possesses a high volleyball IQ. She understands where to be on the court and when to be there. The lateral movement is strong as is the timing and reflexes. She paced the Rockets with 24 kills in this match to go with 14 digs, two blocks, four assists and five service aces.
Kate Shafer Kate Shafer S Eddyville-Blakesburg Fremont | 2025 State IA fills the setter role for the Rockets, but like her sister, she shines all around the court. She shares her sister’s quick-twitch athleticism and supreme understanding of angles. She dished out 35 assists in this match. She kicked in 15 digs, six kills and three service aces.
