Gracie Hennings
Hennings can get overshadowed in a loaded lineup, but she has a knack for making big plays at important times. She brings a lot of energy to the court and helps keep her teammates up with it. She’s a really explosive athlete with quickness. She’s poised for a bigger role in 2023. She’s ready.
VanScoyoc plays her role to perfection. Opponents overlook her at their own peril. She swings it with authority and does a nice job placing those hits where the defense isn’t. She rocked 10 kills in this match.
Like VanScoyoc, Rollins fills an important role for the top-ranked Lightning. She comes off the bench as the team’s second setter, allowing starter Asta Hildebrand Asta Hildebrand S Iowa City Liberty | 2025 State IA to slide over to the outside. Rollins keeps improving her sets and is becoming a better all-around performer. She contributed 14 assists and eight digs in this match.
