Here are some student-athletes who stood out:
Vice is a wonderful all-around performer, who looks equally comfortable at the net and in the back row. During this victory, she paced her squad in kills (18) and digs (22) to go with three blocks and an ace. She hit at an impressive .395 clip. Vice glides effortlessly around the court, can jump out of the gym and plays smart.
Chloe Jones

Steady is the term that comes to mind when watching Jones. She contributes in multiple ways with her versatility and consistency. She led the Wolves in kills (12) and tied for the team lead in digs (12). She also contributed four aces and two blocks. Definitely one on which to keep an eye.
Katrina Pelds
Katrina Pelds
Pelds performs efficiently with an all-around game. She chipped in with 12 kills, five digs and two blocks in this match. She’s a good athlete, who moves well and can get off the ground quickly. She’s poised for a breakout senior season.
Katey Lockyear
Katey Lockyear
Lockyear is a setting machine. She displays great confidence and skill. I like how she views the court and sets where she sees an advantage. She mixes up her sets well. She delivered 39 assists in this match, adding 10 digs and a kill for good measure.
With all do respect to Goodpaster, she doesn’t look like an outside hitter during pre-match introductions. However, once the first ball is put in play, you find out very quickly that she’s a force. Her vertical leap is off the charts and she high-points the ball before hammering it down with power. She was credited with 15 kills in this match, and added 14 digs and a block. Very impressive.
Highlights
Roethler is a joy to watch. She’s the engine that makes the Spartans go, setting up teammates where they can do damage. She handed out 47 assists in this match, aided by a unique ability to find good position no matter where the play starts. She added 10 digs, a service ace and a block.
