To cap it all off, the Division 2 Final Four took place Friday night. The perennial powers that be, North Branch, were joined by some pretty unfamiliar faces with the likes of Grand Rapids South Christian, Cadillac and Dearborn Divine Child.
While in the first semifinal saw the Broncos take control from first serve onward in an incredible sweep, the night cap saw the two newbies, Cadillac and Divine Child go back and forth in the only four set match of the semifinals.
Saturday will see the Broncos look to redeem themselves after last year’s runner-up finish against a scrappy Cadillac squad.
In case the snow kept you home yesterday, here’s what you missed and here are the top performers from the Division 2 Final Four.
Adrienne Greschaw Adrienne Greschaw 5'9" | S North Branch | 2024 State MI – North Branch
I have watched this crew go to battle many, many times throughout her career, but this may have been her best performance yet. Adrienne Greschaw Adrienne Greschaw 5'9" | S North Branch | 2024 State MI was operating on all cylinders in the sweep over South Christian, running one of the toughest offenses of all the final four matches. Her touch was crisp and left the Sailors unable to keep up.
Hailey Green Hailey Green 5'1" | DS/L North Branch | 2024 State MI – North Branch
The space buns were out in full force and so was Hailey Green Hailey Green 5'1" | DS/L North Branch | 2024 State MI ! In a performance that proves that Green is one of the top liberos in the state, Green was leaving no stone unturned. In a near 20 dig night, there wasn’t much that she let drop, if anything. The harder the swings got, the more in tuned Green got.

Welcome to Kellogg Arena, Aubree Deshetsky Aubree Deshetsky 5'9" | OH North Branch | 2026 State MI ! There were no freshman jitters here! For Deshetsky’s first appearance in the Final Four, she was dynamite. A consistent scoring outlet for the Broncos, Deshetsky proved quite the defender as well. Along with her 13 kills, Deshetsky put up 10 digs.
Clara Gyomory Clara Gyomory 5'10" | RS North Branch | 2024 State MI – North Branch
Nearly untouchable, Clara Gyomory Clara Gyomory 5'10" | RS North Branch | 2024 State MI was a force to be reckoned with. No block to big, no defender tough enough for her, Gyomory was a scoring machine. On only 15 swings throughout the sweep, Gyomory put down 9 kills to go along with four blocks.
Kaela Chingwa Kaela Chingwa 6'3" | MB North Branch | 2024 State MI – North Branch
There was no getting through this block! Going toe-to-toe with one of the top middle blockers in the state, Kaela Chingwa Kaela Chingwa 6'3" | MB North Branch | 2024 State MI showed she’s one of the best too! While four blocks on the night doesn’t seem to do it justice, Chingwa seemed to have had a hand on almost all of the South Christian attacks.
Ellie Fles Ellie Fles 6'0" | MB South Christian | 2024 State MI – South Christian
I may have become accustomed to seeing Ellie Fles Ellie Fles 6'0" | MB South Christian | 2024 State MI killing it in the middle with FaR Out Volleyball Club, but after last night, I think she could do anything. Plugged in as a six rotation outside hitter for the Sailors, Fles seemed to be the only thing keeping this ship together. Working with a lot of sets all around the court, Fles made well with what she got, looking so dynamic doing so.
Finley Arp Finley Arp 6'0" | OH South Christian | 2026 State MI – South Christian
While her big sister may have made quite the name for herself over the last few years, keep an eye out for this big gun. Only as a freshman, Finley Arp Finley Arp 6'0" | OH South Christian | 2026 State MI looked like a seasoned veteran on the court. While Arp was limited in her opportunities, she delivered right when the Sailors needed her most.

When you’re this far up in the stratosphere, it’s very hard to slow down. Carissa Musta Carissa Musta 6'3" | MB Cadillac | 2024 State MI is a force of nature when she’s in rhythm. After a slow start for Cadillac, it was the Musta show from then on. Not only was Musta crushing the ball, but there wasn’t many balls that passed her block. Reese Ringwelski – Divine Child
It was the battle of the middles in the Cadillac, Divine Child semifinal. Reese Ringwelski looked at her peak early on in the match. After the serving prowess of Cadillac began to warm up, Ringwelski’s opportunities became limited.
