The following players took significant jumps up in their rankings. They should be players to watch during the 2022/2023 travel season.

[player_tooltip player_id='181178' first='Milan' last='Rex'] S (Alexandria City/Metro) - Milan can do it all. She can set, hit, pass and play an incredible defense. For Alexandria City she was their leading hitter, averaging 6.5 kills per set, leading her high school to a Class 6 State championship. She was also critical in their three person passing rotation and led her team in digs. Serving is also not an issue as she was second in aces. For Metro Milan is their main setter. She also stays in the front row to hit right side. College Commitment - UC Santa Barbara. Movement - 6 to 2.

[player_tooltip player_id='238859' first='Sydney' last='Bryant'] OH (Flint Hill/Metro) - It will be interesting to watch her this club season. Last year she was not completely healthy and did not play much in Flint Hill's championship run. This year she led her team in kills, was third in blocks and filled out six rotations. She will play outside for Metro and hopes to improve on the contribution she made last year. College Commitment - Maryland. Movement - 16 to 5.

[player_tooltip player_id='181179' first='Chloe' last='Wilmot'] S (Alexandria City/Paramount) - Alexandria City only had two returning starters from last year's team. Chloe was the setter that wove this team into a champion. She also will continue to set for Paramount, where she led the team to the gold medal bracket in junior nationals. When you are rated in the top 15 any movement up is an accomplishment. College Commitment - Duquesne. Movement 12 to 9.

[player_tooltip player_id='181201' first='Hannah' last='Howard'] OH (Musselman/Paramount) - Last year she was voted Gatorade Player of the Year for West Virginia. This year Musselman repeated as West Virginia State champions in AAA with Hannah leading her team in kills and digs. But it was not her high school play in West Virginia that led to her soaring rankings. It was her ability to lead Paramount to a gold medal bracket appearance in the junior nationals. Hannah stands just 5'8" so this year she may place more of a focus on her back row play. College Commitment - UMBC. Movement - 21 to 12.

[player_tooltip player_id='181109' first='Amy' last='Wood'] OH (Loudoun Valley/Blue Ridge) - Amy had an incredible high school season being voted the player of the year for the Dulles District. She was the main offensive weapon for the Vikings. The 5'9" hitter plays above her height, using her ability to find holes around or through the block. She played for Blue Ridge last year and they do not have a roster for 18's, so where Amy is playing for travel in 2023 is not yet known. College Commitment - None. Movement - 42 to 15.

[player_tooltip player_id='209175' first='Trisha' last='Guevara'] S (Stone Bridge/Vienna Elite *) - Last year Trisha set the Bulldogs to the Class 5 State Championship. This year was more of a challenge. She stands only 5'5" but is fearless on defense and has a good rapport with her teammates. There was a time during the season where she was on concussion protocol and that was a period where Stone Bridge struggled. Her setting is superb, but she can also fit in at libero. College Commitment - Virginia Wesleyan. Movement - 35 to 22.

[player_tooltip player_id='209180' first='Jasmine' last='Okeoma'] MB (Forest Park/Virginia Jrs) - At 6'3 Jasmine provides a team some height in the middle, a key to her snagging a Class 6B VHSL first team appearance. She was tops on the team in hitting percentage and blocks. This is one player who can be a force at the net. College Commitment - Auburn. Movement - 53 to 26.

[player_tooltip player_id='209185' first='Carly' last='Zimmet'] L/DS (Loudoun Valley/Paramount) - You have to love her attitude and hustle on the court. If the ball is still in the air Carly will use her uniform to wipe the floor clean in an attempt to dig the ball. She was a first team in the Region 4C and for the Dulles District. There is not a ball she will quit on. College Commitment - Christopher Newport. Movement 50 to 21.

[player_tooltip player_id='209182' first='Sofia' last='Hardy'] L/DS (Independence/Virginia Juniors) - Sofia is about as steady as you can get in a libero. The Potomac District selected her as a first team libero and the 5D Region gave her the nod for second team. Another player who is not afraid of showing some hustle on defense. College Commitment - None. Movement - 47 to 36.
