Many attendees were noted as some of the best in the state this past fall. Let’s take a look at the All-State attendees coming to the Michigan Top 250 Expo.
Isabelle Busignani Isabelle Busignani 6'1" | OH Marian | 2025 State #73 Nation MI – Marian
One of the front runners for player of the year in Division 1, Isabelle Busignani Isabelle Busignani 6'1" | OH Marian | 2025 State #73 Nation MI had one heck of a 2022. Busignani was crucial with Michigan Elite, leading her squad to a bronze medal at AAUs with All-American honors. Fast forward to just a mere few weeks ago, Busignani earned post-season MVP honors, leading Marian to their third straight championship.
Ella Craggs Ella Craggs 5'9" | S Northville | 2025 State #127 Nation MI – Northville
Right alongside Busignani, Ella Craggs Ella Craggs 5'9" | S Northville | 2025 State #127 Nation MI was a huge factor in Michigan Elite’s bronze medal finish at AAUs and she too earned All-American status this past club season. This fall saw Craggs in new territory, now a Northville Mustang, leading her team to a state championship match. Craggs was critical in Northville’s success and garnered second team All-State in Division 1.
Sophie Crawford Sophie Crawford 6'1" | S Gull Lake | 2024 State MI – Gull Lake
In my opinion, Sophie Crawford Sophie Crawford 6'1" | S Gull Lake | 2024 State MI is one of the most underrated setters in Michigan. Very much a player that makes the team around her, Crawford continues to grow and continues to impress. This fall saw Crawford lead Gull Lake to an unprecedented run in the Division 1 tournament, before falling to Saline in the Elite 8. For her efforts, Crawford was named to the third team in Division 1.
Hailey Green Hailey Green 5'1" | DS/L North Branch | 2024 State MI – North Branch
Another post-season tournament MVP, Hailey Green Hailey Green 5'1" | DS/L North Branch | 2024 State MI was also just recently named the Thumb Sportswriters Association Player of the Year. It’s like a broken record at this point, but Green is one of the top players in Michigan, regardless of position. She led North Branch to their first state title since 2016 and appears on the first team All-State list (D2) for her second straight season.
Clara Gyomory Clara Gyomory 5'10" | RS North Branch | 2024 State MI – North Branch
One of the biggest stories of the year was the emergence of Clara Gyomory Clara Gyomory 5'10" | RS North Branch | 2024 State MI . A steady contributor in 2021, 2022 saw Gyomory become the go-to arm for North Branch. Gyomory led the Broncos in the scoring front and was a huge net defender with her block. Gyomory sees her name atop the Division 2 All-State list for the first time this season.
Jessica Costlow Jessica Costlow 5'11" | OH SMCC | 2025 State #142 Nation MI – SMCC
One of the top players in all of Division 3, Jessica Costlow Jessica Costlow 5'11" | OH SMCC | 2025 State #142 Nation MI had an explosive 2022. As the team’s leader in kills for the perennial power, SMCC, Costlow showed to score with ease this season against the toughest of competition. While SMCC bowed out of the tournament earlier than expected, Costlow was a driving force for the Kestrels all season.
McKenna Payne McKenna Payne 5'7" | DS/L SMCC | 2025 State #105 Nation MI – SMCC
Right along Costlow, McKenna Payne McKenna Payne 5'7" | DS/L SMCC | 2025 State #105 Nation MI is a top prospect out of Division 3. This season sees Payne atop the All-State list for her second straight season, but in a much different role. While Payne may have started out as a left side pin, opposite of Costlow, the season saw her move to setter for a few before eventually moving to her natural position at libero.
Shelby Ignash Shelby Ignash 6'1" | MB Cass City | 2025 State #124 Nation MI – Cass City
One of the hottest names in Division 3, Shelby Ignash Shelby Ignash 6'1" | MB Cass City | 2025 State #124 Nation MI has become a force to be reckoned with as only a sophomore. Ignash began some rumblings last season, but has now cemented herself as a household name. Leading Cass City to their first Final Four since 1977, Ignash led the Hawks in kills, blocks AND digs. All this accumulated to land Ignash alongside her club teammates at the top of the Division 3 list.
Madeline Dettling Madeline Dettling 6'0" | OH SMCC | 2026 State MI – SMCC
In her debut with the Kestrels, Madeline Dettling Madeline Dettling 6'0" | OH SMCC | 2026 State MI managed to make her presence known on a team with such high profile players. While a natural left side attacker, Dettling started off the season on the right pin and was quite successful. After the Kestrel moved Payne to libero, Dettling slid right into her natural position and excelled even further, catapulting her to a third-team appearance.
