#16, Maya Hunt Maya Hunt S Holy Cross (Covington) | 2023 State KY (Holy Cross Covington)– You may have seen her sister’s name once or twice in the rankings, but Maya Hunt Maya Hunt S Holy Cross (Covington) | 2023 State KY , senior setter, from Holy Cross Covington is a stud in every way! Racking up 929 assists, Hunt is quick with her feet and great about getting square to the pin. She’s also very offensive where she had 130 kills on the year. This girl is the full package by adding another 278 digs and 67 service aces. With an amazing senior season, Hunt recently committed to Marshall University and will be a huge asset to this D1 program.
#17, Gracen Cord (Montgomery County)- Junior setter and right side attacker for Montgomery County, Gracen Cord counted 794 assists in 91 set. Cord works really well in transition with her hitters and defensive players. As a leader on the floor, she is great about helping her teammates succeed and truly wants the best for her squad. In the district championship against George Rogers Clark, Montgomery County faced a tough four set loss, but Cord gathered a huge double-double with 37 assists and 10 digs. Cord knows how to make big-time plays when the team needs it the most and will be a great captain next year.
#18, Josie Aull Josie Aull S Trinity (Whitesville) | 2023 State KY (Trinity Whitesville)– A district champion for her senior year, setter, Josie Aull Josie Aull S Trinity (Whitesville) | 2023 State KY had a fantastic final year for Trinity Whitesville with 942 assists in 108 sets. She also helped the team with 142 digs and 73 service aces. Not only did she have a great season but a superior post-season with at least 20 assists per match. In the district finals, Aull gathered a hot 27 assists and ran a balanced offense. In tournament time, Aull came to play and ended her career on a high note.
#19, Maggie Pulliam Maggie Pulliam S Sayre | 2023 State KY (Sayre)– Another senior setter, Maggie Pulliam Maggie Pulliam S Sayre | 2023 State KY from Sayre put up some top numbers for her final year with 767 assists in 89 sets. She also joined those stats with 133 digs and 77 service aces. Pulliam’s best attribute was always finding a way to get the ball to her hot hitters. Reese Collins Reese Collins 6'4" | MB Sayre | 2024 State KY and Katherine Croce were the two stud attackers for Sayre and then adding Pulliam to their duo made the offense lethal. Pulliam was a leader and made her team better in the long run.
#20, Brianna Jenson (Bullitt East)– Filling our #20 spot, we have senior setter, Brianna Jenson from Bullitt East who counted 764 assists in 96 sets. She also added the second-most digs on the team with 215 and the most service aces with 55. Bullitt East’s defense and back row was very strong, and you felt like their offense might have been not as strong, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Jenson kept her offense well-rounded where five of their hitters had over 100 kills. They could fire from every angle, and that’s what made them so special. A lot of Bullitt East’s success was thanks to Jenson this past year.
