In our final edition of positional breakdowns for the class of '24, we look at the kids that will be running the show on each of their respective rosters. Here are five kids from five different clubs that should find a home sooner rather than later.

[player_tooltip player_id='110484' first='Olivia' last='Gisslen'], 5-9, Carroll, [program_tooltip program_id='430155' first='Team' last='Pineapple']

Athletic and quick, Olivia is fully capable of running a 5-1 at any level. Her defense is also above average for both her position and size. Instinctually aggressive, don't be surprised if she puts a few balls away in transition whenever she sees an opening.

[player_tooltip player_id='110514' first='Whitney' last='Scherrer'], 6-1, North Central, Munciana

Long, lean and athletic, Whitney can get to balls that most other setters in this class just can't get simply because of her size. She's spent a lot of time being a combination of players; a 5-1 setter, a right side attacker, or a hybrid 6-2 setter where she attacks from the front row. My guess is that she'll end up being a full-time setter at Munciana this spring while playing a full-time open-level schedule.

[player_tooltip player_id='142822' first='Meredith' last='Slaton'], 5-6, Scottsburg, Union ('22)

From extreme southern Indiana, Meredith has options to either play on this side of the Ohio River or possibly play for a couple of Kentucky clubs. Miss Slaton's quickness and high hand placement make her a technically sound and accurate setter who makes up for her size by being speedy and strong. Rosters at Union haven't been posted yet for this coming spring, but she's been a Union lifer since she started playing volleyball.

[player_tooltip player_id='191061' first='Gabby' last='Scheil'], 5-6, Roncalli, Team Indiana

Gabby is another shorter-than-average setter, but plays much bigger than her frame. She already plays high-level high school ball at perennial 4A top ten Roncalli, and will have the opportunity to do so again at TI. She's fast, runs a fast offense, and defends her position better than most in this class. I like her high and quick hands, and she can push a ball to the pin just as deceptively as setting a zero-tempo ball to a middle.

[player_tooltip player_id='191063' first='Varya' last='Rahoizha'], 5-11, Andrean, KeAloha

From "the region", Varya was part of a 6-2 at Andrean that has a history of competing for state titles year-in and year-out. Varya's hands are high, strong, deceptive and accurate, and she should do well as the primary setter for the 18-1 at KeAloha. I like her ability to get her feet to every ball, regardless of where it's passed.
