What’s the story of the 2025 ranking update?

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This class of 2025 update is a big one. We have expanded our rankings from 50 to the top 100 athletes and added over 40 to the watchlist. The athletes in this class have just ended their sophomore high school season and are entering their 16s year. Here is a behind-the-scenes look at this updated class of 2025 ranking!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>Some big names are emerging...</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Despite how young they are, this group of athletes has a lot of talent. [player_tooltip player_id='178033' first='Madison' last='Quest'] was recently named the Volleyball Mag 2022 Wisconsin High School Player of the Year. Quest and fellow sophomore stand-out athletes [player_tooltip player_id='178026' first='Olivia' last='Durst'] and [player_tooltip player_id='246946' first='Jordan' last='Czajkowski'] were key athletes in DSHA's state championship run. [player_tooltip player_id='178024' first='Kati' last='Berezowitz'] (Burlington) and [player_tooltip player_id='178223' first='Teegan' last='Charapata'] (Appleton North) were key athletes in their respective Division 1 state semifinals this year. Xavier's [player_tooltip player_id='178352' first='Madison' last='Daley'] and [player_tooltip player_id='178224' first='Annika' last='Kowalski'] both earned state championship titles.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>This is a big year! </h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>16s year is when we see a lot of movement and additions in the rankings and watchlist. Both have already expanded significantly with this update, and we have not even reached club season yet. Seeing these athletes compete throughout the season on a regional and national level will only continue adding prospects to our list. This is an enjoyable year for coverage, and I can't wait for tournaments to start and to get in the gym. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>The talent is deep...</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Every year the talent pool seems to get deeper and deeper. And this year is no different. There are stock risers, including [player_tooltip player_id='178226' first='Madison' last='Tripp'], [player_tooltip player_id='178029' first='Emma' last='Koceja'], and [player_tooltip player_id='177423' first='Natalie' last='Ptacek']. There are also a lot of new additions to the rankings. We now have 100 athletes ranked.
