Continue ReadingWe have been watching the 2024 class very closely throughout the entire high school season and used the data of wins and losses, stats, district finishes, awards, in person tournaments, matches and of course the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles. The Oklahoma junior class came into their own during this past high school season and showed that they belong at the elite level. We were happy to add so many new names to this list and think they have a very high ceiling to keep improving. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be added to our prestigious State Rankings through their play on the court. Please welcome them with open arms.
Kiya Colvin Kiya Colvin 5'11" | OH Owasso | 2024 State OK [2024] 5-11 Outside (HS: Owasso/Club: Ultimate Performance Volleyball/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Kiya to the Prep Dig Oklahoma State Rankings. We are proud to announce that she is currently ranked as the 15th best overall player in the 2024 class. Miss Colvin plays volleyball at Owasso High School and also for the Ultimate Performance Volleyball Club. This young lady is a powerhouse performer at the net. She has a cannon for a right arm and unleashes it early and often for any team she plays for. This past season she accumulated 217 kills, 59 total blocks, 91 digs and 12 aces. She shows great understanding of the game with her ability to run multiple routes out of serve receive. Owasso is truly helping her volleyball IQ rise quickly. The most impressive aspect of her play for me is how she quickly and easily transitions to effectively hitting different tempos throughout the match. Not many players are able to adjust their foot speed and timing so easily for different routes and tempos. Kiya makes it look very easy when she does it for Owasso as they move her around the net to find different ways to utilize her offensive abilities. From watching her in both club and high school, it was a no brainer to add her to the State Rankings. Please help us congratulate her on the honor of being named to the prestigious list of players from the Sooner state.
Jocelyn Copple Jocelyn Copple 6'2" | MB Edmond Santa Fe | 2024 State OK [2024] 6-1 Outside (HS: Edmond Santa Fe/Club: Oklahoma Peak Performance/Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are proud to announce that Miss Copple has made the Rankings. Jocelyn is currently ranked as the 26th best overall prospect in the 2024 class according to our Prep Dig Oklahoma State Rankings. She plays for Edmond Santa Fe High School and will play club for the nationally known Oklahoma Peak Performance program this season. We profiled her a few times last club season and here is a little refresher of what we stated, “This will be the third time I see her in person this year and I cannot wait because I get to take her through blocking and hitting drills and see how she moves on the court. She has a great strong frame for a rising junior middle blocker that a lot of coaches will love. Her strength is definitely at the net and she can hold her own against high-level competition. She gets her arms well above the net and presses well to seal it from opposing attackers. Jocelyn establishes a solid presence along the net that makes hitters have to move their attack around her.” I watched her compete at nationals last summer and was thoroughly impressed with what I saw. She is now part of the famous ten foot club meaning she an approach touch ten feet high in the air. What I love about her play is her being so versatile and able to play all three front row positions at a very high level. She has the speed, agility, power and finesse needed to excel at the next level for sure. She also plays with a lot of fire which will help to keep momentum on her team’s side. We are proud to have her listed amongst the state’s best players as she truly deserves to be listed. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot on the coveted Oklahoma State Rankings list.
Ava Jacobsen Ava Jacobsen 6'0" | OH Jenks | 2024 State OK [2024] 6-0 Outside (HS: Jenks/Club: Ultimate Performance Volleyball/Signed: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Ava to the Prep Dig Oklahoma State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 31st best overall prospect according to the 2023 Prep Dig Oklahoma State Rankings list. She plays at Jenks High School and also club for Ultimate Performance Volleyball. This young lady is special as she is a two-sport star and two-time State Champion on the tennis court for Jenks. That powerful right arm has been wreaking havoc this year in the early club scene. What I love about her is how solid her ball control is out of serve receive. She brings so much to her squad because of it. She is a true six-rotation outside threat that college coaches will love. When you watch her play, there is no doubt that you will fall in love with her picturesque approach in which she utilizes a textbook upswing and arm swing. Give her a look and you will not be disappointed. We are proud to have her added to the rankings and hope you can help us congratulate her on the honor.
