Five 2025 Setters to Evaluate This Club Season

She has big stock rising potential and this club season with a solid TSE squad will offer a lot of opportunities to watch her compete. At 5'9, she has good all-around skills but shines in the setting role with her ability to deliver in simple and tough situations from pin-to-pin and in pursuit of a ball high and tight or well off the net. This TSE team has some big point scoring weapons so it will be fun to see her distribute and balance this offense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='176091' first='Maddie' last='Zechman']</strong> - Elite VBTC<br>Zechman ran the show for a Dublin Scioto team that finished 20-5 overall and featured one of the most dynamic offensive threats in the country on her side. She totaled 713 assists while also finishing among team leaders in total blocks, digs, and service aces. Zechman has good preparation before pursuing the second touch and uses good footwork and high hand position to contact the ball. As her high school team was middle heavy offensively, this club season is a great opportunity to evaluate her ability to distribute the full range of the court, develop balance, as well as her decision-making leadership. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='195616' first='Brookelyn' last='Zeuch']</strong> - [program_tooltip program_id='431827' first='Elevation' last='']<br>The Bishop Fenwick product led the GCL in 2022 with 829 total assists earning 2nd Team all-league honors. She is a savvy distributor as she can get all of her hitters involved from around the floor on-tempo and against the flow with good success with her location. Zeuch also provides good floor direction and leadership and will pair with another 2025 top Ohio setter to create one of the better tandems in this role for any team in the region at this age group as both are highly capable of running the show for this team.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='195854' first='Tori' last='Cravens']</strong> - OPVC<br>Cravens has grown in her skills, experience, and identity as a setter prospect and should contribute in this role a lot for her OPVC team this club season. She has skills to contribute in other areas but increasingly continues to show her distribution prowess. In sharing the setting duties at CHCA this past fall, she led her team with 359 total assists as they finished second in league play. She has good footwork to pursue the ball and is improving her location through both pins that involves consistency in tempo and creating the right opportunities for her hitters.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='152357' first='Emma' last='Cloran'] </strong>- Mintonette<br>Cloran earned some opportunities to set for Bishop Watterson this recent high school season as she was one of three setters to earn over 300 assists. She totaled 324 for a 4.9 d/s average. At 5'6, she makes a good impact with the ball traveling through her hands as she can locate well with good tempo and variety. As she moves to Mintonette to compete with their top 16U team, one that claimed an American division USAV national title last season, she sees an upgrade in the arms around her and should help them sustain their competitiveness and success on the offensive side even though she has one of the best setters in this class ahead of her on this roster.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
