Coon really impressed me at the Resolution because she kept her team in a lot of games and gave them a ton of opportunities to run an offense. She was everywhere on the court and considering I saw her at the Season Opener I think she has already grown in her general skill and ball control but also her movement during play.
Ilkka caught a lot of attention with her play this weekend. What I loved about her play was that she wasn’t always perfect but she did a great job bouncing back after a mistake. This is so crucial for this position and she simply didn’t take the time to dwell. Ilkka never stops moving and is a really strong communicator on the court.
Durst and her 16 Gold squad played up in the 17/18 Open Division and it was no joke. This past fall Durst helped DSHA win a D1 State Championship and she was a vital 6 rotation outside. Her serve receive and defense have always been stellar so it’s no surprise to see her flourishing in the libero position as well.
