Top Players:
Emma Stubbs #23 Outside Hitter for Redline 18-1. I’ve been able to watch Emma progress over the years. She has gotten stronger, faster, and smarter on the court. Seeing her purposely go after the blockers outside hand to get the kill is not something she use to do. She would rely on her power, now add this crafty smart play. She is a player that makes an impact immediately when she crosses the white line.
Anna Degraffenreid Anna Degraffenreid 5'6" | S Oklahoma Christian | 2024 State OK #15 Setter for OK Charge 17 National. Someone I have also seen play for a couple years. She has been on our radar the whole time. She has kept grinding away in her training and its blossoming. Her footwork to balls has become more efficient and therefore allowing her to track down balls at a higher rate. She has always had a soft touch to her sets but it looks far more effortless now. She is always an upbeat teammate and encouraging. Something too many people take for granted.
Marti Flores #14 Outside Hitter for Virago 18-1. She plays for powerhouse Bishop Kelley and is no stranger to big points in big games. Her coach gave her some nuggets of info at the end of the second set in the gold bracket, down 18-23. She worked hard to serve receive a great ball, transition out and take the ball line for a huge kill. Those are scenarios where big players play big! She is just a solid rock for her team, she plays 6 rotations and she adds value in every one of them.
Brooke Edwards Brooke Edwards 5'7" | DS/L Edmond Santa Fe | 2024 State OK #16 Libero for OK Charge 17 National. We cant leave off one of the top defensive players in the tournament! Brooke does a good job of reading her blockers and the hitter. It is the small adjustments mid play she makes that make a huge difference. If you got a little one wanting to watch a top defensive specialist play, I recommend finding her court.
Kate Schneeberg Kate Schneeberg 6'1" | S Bishop Kelley | 2024 State OK #5 Setter for UPVBC 17 Elite- Standing at 6’1 and having a great high point on the ball is a massive advantage that you don’t see too often. She is surrounded by all sorts of top tier hitters but make no mistake she gives those players every option in their wheelhouse due to consistent location, no matter the position she is in at the time. She also posses a wicked float serve that has plenty of movement on the tail end.
