This is awesome for college coaches coming to scout, as well as for us here at Prep Dig. Much of the state was in action this weekend. Two huge tournaments were hosting over 630 teams signed up. We were in attendance for the Tulsa Attack. Lets take a look at a handful of 15s age players who stood out and played well!
The top finishers for the 15s division were:
1st- 417 Juniors 15 National Black (Out of Missouri)
2nd- Peak 15-4
3rd- Tulsa Power 15-2 and UPVBC 15 Pink
Players:
Adylyn Johnson #13- Outside Hitter for TPV 15-1. She attends Claremore Sequoyah High School. In class 3A, she will dominate teams. I was able to watch her do a little bit of everything. She has good control and range with her hitting. Mix this with her SR, she is an all around player and a problem for opposing teams. Her shots she was able to create, were a difference maker for her team, this helped lead them to only dropping 1 set and winning the 16s division title.
Wylie Bales #17- Right Side Hitter for UPVBC 15 Pink. She attends Lincoln Christian High school. Her and several of her school teammates all play for on this competitive 15-1 team and Lincoln will be rolling for years to come. She has the frame to be a solid blocker and the arm power to be an offensive threat too. She did a great job of disrupting hitters this weekend. This team will develop in to a top team within the state and she will be a big reason why.
Kamryn Lehrman Kamryn Lehrman 5'6" | DS/L Broken Arrow | 2026 OK #13- Defensive Specialist for TPV 15-2. She attends Broken Arrow High School. She has a great read on the play before it happens. Her most important quality, which is a staple of all good DS, is her top notch serve receive! She takes up plenty of area in the back. This gives her hitters that are pulling back, less responsibility to pass and this gives them the opportunity to focus more on hitting.
Jada Faulkner #13- Middle blocker for UPVBC 15 Pink. She attends Lincoln Christian High School. She does a great job in transition of finding ways to be avavaible to hit. This is something you don’t quite see at this level very much. She is always wanting calling for a set. In conjunction, her footwork is sets her apart. Greta efficiency in her movement allows things to look effortless.
We will be putting out multiple articles over the next week covering these top players and some emerging stars. 2023 has already begun to prove what we have been saying for a couple years now, Oklahoma is on the rise and will be a force in volleyball sooner rather than later.
