This is awesome for college coaches coming to scout, as well as for us here at Prep Dig. Much of the state was in action this weekend. Two huge tournaments were hosting over 630 teams signed up. We were in attendance for the Tulsa Attack. Lets take a look at a handful of 15s age players who stood out and played well!
The top finishers for the 15s division were:
1st- 417 Juniors 15 National Black (Out of Missouri)
2nd- Peak 15-4
3rd- Tulsa Power 15-2 and UPVBC 15 Pink
Players:
Brooklyn Dalgarn #7- Right side for TPV 15-1. She attends Booker T. Washington High School. Teams really need to keep an eye out for the bombs she lets loose at times. She has a really strong arm swing and can power through blocks. I saw her on multiple occasions take the ball down the line beautifully, showing her range as a hitter. She will be a player that will be in the starting line up soon for her high school program and making an impact.
Karlie Jones Karlie Jones 5'9" | OH Lincoln Christian | 2026 OK #17- Outside Hitter for UPVBC 15 Pink. She attends Lincoln Christian High school. She will be in the next wave of Lincoln’s powerhouse type players. Solid control on her swings while also doing a great job of snapping down on top of the ball. When she gets a hold of a ball, she really can do some damage.
Isabella Shondelmyer #20- Setter for TPV 15-2. She attends Broken Arrow High School. She is surrounded by competitors, between mom who coaches and a top notch school program. It is starting to show she isn’t scared to compete and she will rise to the occasion. I envision her to continue to have soft hands and fast feet as a part of her skill set.
Catherine Borchers Catherine Borchers MB Jenks | 2026 OK #9- Middle for TPV 15-1. She attends Jenks High School. She might be on track to be better than her sister, Juliana. Time will tell on this but she already has solid size and above all, athleticism to allow her skills to flourish. I’m sure big sis gives her great insight and encouragement. She is a huge asset to this club team.
Jayla Wallace #22- Libero for UPVBC 15 Pink. She attends Riverfield Country Day Schools. She is a workhorse and great leader. You see this in her constant movement in defense. She is always in a good position and ready to move to the ball once contacted. She has a big personality with her body language. You can tell she loves to compete and loves her teammates having success.
We will be putting out multiple articles over the next week covering these top players and some emerging stars. 2023 has already begun to prove what we have been saying for a couple years now, Oklahoma is on the rise and will be a force in volleyball sooner rather than later.
