Continue ReadingAs a Prep Dig Scout, I am always looking for talented athletes to add to my radar. I was not disappointed with the high level of talent that I saw throughout January and into early February. Here are some new to me athletes that I added to my notes app early this season.
Jordan jumped onto my radar at the Prep Dig Resolution tournament. She has clean form and is quick across the court. I really like how she moves the ball around the court and utilizes all of her hitters. She impressed me with her crisp and disciplined play and is an athlete on the rise in the class of 2024.
Claire has great court vision out of the middle back. She can play on the pin or as a libero/DS. Claire has a competitive serve and reads opposing hitters well. She moves quickly across the back line and has a great platform. She is an athlete that caught my eye multiple times at the Resolution tournament, and I am confident she will have an impact for Wisconsin Ice all season.
We only cover high school athletes, so these past few months were my first opportunity to see the class of 2026 play. Ella is an athlete who jumped out to me right away. The first thing I saw her do was to go on a massive serving run. She is also a very high-level setter and defender. She runs the court well and is a leader for her team.

Kasey hopped onto my radar because she was constantly engaged on the court. She never stopped covering, talking, and working hard for her team. She is an under-the-radar athlete that added a lot of value to her team because of her discipline and communication.
Kennedy is a crazy scrappy athlete who got a touch nearly every ball. She is awesome in coverage and will throw herself across the court to pick up a ball. She sets her team up for success on defense and serve receive. She is quick and fearless on the court and has great potential.

Kirsten is a setter with a really nice touch on the ball. She moves the ball around cleanly and efficiently. Kirsten has huge potential as a setter. She has good court vision and worked to include all her hitters. She is strong in all of her skills and leads by example for her team.

Grace caught my eye because of her stellar communication on the court. She ran the court well as a leader and never stopped working for her team. She is a leader as well as an athlete. As a setter, she has clean hands and good court awareness. Her ability to push the ball from pin to pin was impressive.
Anna is a dynamic athlete who can play on the right side and the middle. She has a huge vertical and a high contact point. Anna mixes up her swings and earns points for her team. Anna has had a great start to the season, and I am excited to see what she can do in the future.

Montanna is a high-impact player. She earns points on the pin and is efficient in her play. She is an athlete that plays all six rotations. Her abilities as a six-rotation athlete are impressive. She is an athlete who can do it all and is consistent on the court.
Addisyn is very athletic. When I saw her play, she was on the pin. Her vertical is stellar, and she is smart with the ball. She is also very talented in the back row. Her defense is scrappy. Addisyn is a high-volume athlete on the Fond du Lac Fusion team and has been impressive this season.
