The Class of 2026 shows a lot of promise and the 15s teams for L2 have added in a lot of explosive talent for 2023.
Here’s a look at what L2 is offering up on the court this club season.
L2 151
Shannon Billings will be coaching this squad, which is a mixture of players from the 141 squad last year and new kids that were brought into the club.
Setter will be the key position for this group. It has Delaney Gilmore Delaney Gilmore 5'9" | S Brighton | 2026 State MI out of Brighton, as well as Giana Jourdonnais out of Plymouth. Both were freshmen setters on their school’s varsity this fall and bring that experience to this young squad. Jourdonnais also can play on the right side. The 5’11” talent has a lot of athleticism.
This team brings back both middles from last year. Jillian Gibbs Jillian Gibbs 5'11" | MB Orchard Lake St. Mary's Prep | 2026 State MI had a promising year for Orchard Lake St. Mary’s, while Taylor Dahms Taylor Dahms 6'3" | MB Saline | 2026 State MI is a 6’3” force out of the Saline program. Dahms definitely can be a game-changer with her size.
On the outside, Teagan Wesner, Skyye Frailey Skyye Frailey 5'10" | OH Athens, Troy Michigan | 2026 State MI , Skylar Marteen Skylar Marteen 5'9" | OH Northville | 2026 State MI and Paige Bierlein Paige Bierlein 6'1" | MB Brighton | 2026 State MI . Marteen and Frailey really bring a lot of pop to the net. They can dial up their swings to another fear. Bierlein and Wesner are well-rounded outsides that add a lot to the defense as well.
Speaking of defense, Giselle Burlingame Giselle Burlingame 5'2" | DS/L Northville | 2026 State MI and Katie Mahon will handle back row duties. Both are very calm and consistent at the position. They have good instincts and have faced some powerful hitters throughout the fall as well.
This group opened the season with an 11th-place finish at the JVA Rock ‘N Rumble, earning a pair of wins over fellow Michigan squads Legacy 15-2 ADIDAS and Unified 15-1.
They definitely can compete to be one of the strongest 15 squads in the state. As they gel together, L2 has a chance to make some waves behind the right mix of power and ball control.
L2 152
Lindsey Ancevski is coaching this squad, which features a lot of talent from the Brighton program.
Four of the 10 on the roster come from Brighton, including hitters Olivia Jagst, Vivian Jones Vivian Jones 6'1" | OH Brighton | 2026 State MI and Maddie Mccarroll Maddie Mccarroll 5'7" | OH Brighton | 2026 MI .
This team brings a lot of flexibility to its roster, with most players being able to move around the court.

As this team pieces together its lineup and gets a feel for the best role for their players, you should see things pick up quickly. They have a lot of competitive fire in them and their players will embrace their roles.
