Makenna Rine- Junior from Warren East High School, Makenna Rine can do it all! She might look small, but Rine is a jumping bean and can get it done in the front row. For her school team this past season, Rine helped lead them to their first region title with 232 kills and 411 digs! Rine has that competitive, gamer mentality that you never want to take out of the game. Fierce, gritty, determined, and unstoppable are just a few words to describe Rine on the floor. She’s been a great asset to this 17 Red team and will continue to be a baller for her final senior season in school ball!
Samantha Whittinghill- You may have recognized the younger sister’s name for BRAVO 15 Black, but Samantha Whittinghill is 17 and the older setter of the two! She’s the star setter for this BRAVO 17 Red team and does a great job of delivering hittable balls from every angle. Whittinghill is offensive in the front row with her two hand dumps but also tricky as she can push the ball effectively to the left and right side. Plus, she brings the heat with her serve in the back row. Overall, Whittinghill is a stud for this team!
Taylor Brock- A middle or right side hitter, Taylor Brock, from South Warren High School shines as a 16 year old playing up for this team. Brock knows how to keep the ball in play when it’s out of system whether it’s tipping or tooling the block, but her greatest asset is her heart. Off the court, Brock is one of the sweetest girls you’ll ever meet, and on the court, she translates this warm, inspiring attitude into passion for the girls around her. Any coach or player is lucky to be apart of Taylor Brock’s journey.
Allie Meredith- Lastly, from Bowling Green High School, we have country-strong Allie Meredith. Undersized for a hitter, Meredith has a heavy arm swing that is very hard to defend. She saw playing time for Bowling Green as a right side, but Meredith can hit on either side of the pins. A go-to attacker for the team, Meredith isn’t afraid to swing high hands for the kill and push for balls out of her range defensively. Always giving 110%, Allie Meredith is a key for this team and will only continue to get better.
