The 16 Open Division was the place to be in the Indianapolis Convention Center. The ‘Bros showed up and answered the question. Can you dig it? Needless to say, no more questions with these ones. The harder the hits, the better they get. These defenders don’t step down from a fight.
They’ve answered the question and here were some of the best ‘bros in the 16 Open at the Central Zone Invitational.

Whatever you do, DON’T hit at Sakura Codling Sakura Codling 5'4" | DS/L Seton | 2025 State #77 Nation OH . It doesn’t matter where she is, how hard you hit, how clever your off-speed shot is, she’s going to eat it up. Codling is absolutely relentless in the back court.
Aniya Warren – 1st Alliance
When it’s time to go, Aniya Warren knows how to GO! I got to see a lot of Warren during the gold medal rounds and she was top notch. In the semi final and championship games, Warren had a hand on almost every ball that came her way.
Mckenna Payne – Michigan Elite
Steady is the name of her game and she plays that game so well! McKenna Payne isn’t the loudest one in the gym but when she makes a play, it speaks volumes! Payne’s reception and defense was at a 10 all weekend leading to a Top 3 finish.
Kristen Simon – KIVA
Another highlight from this KIVA squad, the Kentucky volleyball scene knows how to make a great libero, such as Kristen Simon. Simon was a real treat to watch this weekend. A rock solid receiver, she had some key plays in the groups big victory over UNION in the opening round of the Gold Bracket.

A well known name to the game, Devin Dzienny Devin Dzienny 5'8" | DS/L St. Ursula | 2025 State #75 Nation OH had yet another solid outing with Legacy. Dzienny is showing a lot of growth and calmness to her game. She’s a steady presence on the court and it came up huge throughout the weekend.
Sophia Arends Sophia Arends 5'2" | DS/L Bishop Fenwick | 2025 State OH – Ohio Premier
This Ohio Premier crew has a lot of the pieces it needs to ruffle some feathers this club season. A big piece includes their ‘bro, Sophia Arends Sophia Arends 5'2" | DS/L Bishop Fenwick | 2025 State OH . With 20/20 vision, Arends reads the game very well and has a great touch. She also puts up a great ball out of system.
