Setters need to be highly athletic, have great endurance, and understand the game strategically. Good setters run the court seamlessly and keep opposing teams on their toes. Here are some setters on the 2026 watch list.
Brooklyn is a setter who is fearless on the court. She makes aggressive choices on her sets and is very competitive. She has a quick touch on the ball and communicates well with her hitters. She utilizes her hitters well and will put a sneaky well-placed tip over the net once in awhile.
Nikolija is a very high-level setter. She has great court awareness and moves the ball around quickly and efficiently. She is an athlete who adds value in all six rotations. Nikolija has a clean touch on the ball and can push the ball pin to pin from nearly anywhere on the court.
Claire is another talented setter on this 1st Alliance 15 Gold team. She has a quick touch on the ball and is a dynamic athlete on the court. She moves quickly across the court and makes aggressive decisions. She pushes the ball to her middle even when off the net and spreads the offense well.
Maggie is a setter with clean and crisp form. She pushes the ball from pin to pin with tempo. Her Michio team has had huge success early in the season partly because she is smart with her sets and is hard to read. She quite literally sets her team up for success whenever she is on the court.
Ellie is a powerful athlete with a competitive mindset and a lot of experience on the court. She is a high-level setter who can add value in all six rotations. She is smart, savvy, and isn’t afraid to be offensive and throw a tip over the net. She is also a talented defender and puts up a massive block.
Emily is a setter with a lot of potential. She has good form and puts up consistent sets when she is on the move. She also pushes her middles and keeps all her hitters involved on offense. Emily is an energizer on the court and is engaged in every play.
Morgan is a dynamic setter who can also swing on the pin. She has huge hustle on the court and a gritty approach to the game. Morgan finds ways to keep the ball alive on tough balls and pushes her middle. She is scrappy on the court. On offense, Morgan is smart and powerful.
Amalia is another setter who can also swing. Honestly, she can do just about anything. She is scrappy on defense, powerful on offense, and smart as a setter. Amalia is a very well-rounded athlete who can play all six rotations at a high level.
