The Oklahoma Rankings tournament was invented, as the name suggests, to help with the regional rankings. They wanted to pit the best teams from around the state against one another to help sort out the top teams. It will be held February 25th in Tulsa, at the Titan Facility. If you want to see some of the best play each other, this is the place to be. Lets take a look at a few of the teams and the players you wont want to miss.

UPVBC 17 Elite

This team currently sits at 21-1 overall. Coach Brad Sailsbury and crew were able to capture the gold championship at the Kansas City MLK Tournament. Which is a big part of why this team is ranked 23rd in the nation. These team has a ton of firepower but the versatility is what sets them apart. Plenty of players that can play 6 rotations or play multiple positions. With the likes of [player_tooltip player_id='156860' first='Curry' last='Kendall'] and [player_tooltip player_id='156866' first='Maren' last='Johnson'] on the outside, teams NEED a solid block each and every rotation. [player_tooltip player_id='290938' first='Paiton' last='Tuggle'], [player_tooltip player_id='156863' first='Kelsey' last='Ward'], [player_tooltip player_id='208358' first='Kiya' last='Colvin'], and [player_tooltip player_id='156875' first='Ramsey' last='Wagner'] all are the main weapons for their respective high school teams, they can all terminate at a high level.

Peak 17EP

Same as UPVBC, this team is loaded up with high level players who are stars for their high school teams. [player_tooltip player_id='156859' first='Landry' last='Braziel'], [player_tooltip player_id='177222' first='Ally' last='Fees'], [player_tooltip player_id='156853' first='Megan' last='Branson'], [player_tooltip player_id='156862' first='Kathrin' last='Rowe'], [player_tooltip player_id='156850' first='Anniston' last='Owen'], [player_tooltip player_id='156872' first='Parker' last='Gladhill'] and [player_tooltip player_id='189997' first='Jocelyn' last='Copple'] have all been covered extensively this past school season. All are players I can foresee playing at the next level very soon. Especially with the college level coaching from current UCO coach, Edgar Miraku. I think this team will have a chance to unseat the top Tulsa 17s team in UPVBC 17Elite.

OK Charge 17UA

I was able to watch this team early in the season at the ORU Early Bird tournament in Tulsa. They will be coming off a trip the Triple Crown tournament, where they will see quality teams in every match. This will definitely help them prepare for the rankings tournament. [player_tooltip player_id='290939' first='Addison' last='Nichols'], [player_tooltip player_id='156878' first='Artina' last='Williams'], [player_tooltip player_id='156871' first='Josie' last='Brady'], [player_tooltip player_id='212434' first='Madison' last='Barnes'] and [player_tooltip player_id='206198' first='Aleeyah' last='Hamblin'] are all players that can get hot in the front row and spark a big run. I have been a big fan of how well [player_tooltip player_id='156854' first='Clare' last='Kierl'] and [player_tooltip player_id='206957' first='MacKenzi' last='Bass'] compete and make those around them better. They are the glue that holds this talented team together. While Coach Ward is the leader that will get the very most out of every player.

Summary

With this being the older aged girls, there are plenty of college commits and a slew of potential college level players all in one location. If you want a young player to fall in love with the sport, find a court these players are on and grab some popcorn.

I will do my absolute best to be here, take lots of action shots, make plenty of social media posts and take lots of notes. Oklahoma is on the up and up, this tournament is a great showcase of that exactly.
