Some players know where they are playing collegiately, while others are still looking for programs to continue their playing careers.
Prep Dig will be scouting at an 18 Regional Bid event this weekend in Lawrence and there are still plenty of college coaches looking to add final pieces to their recruiting classes.
Prep Dig Kansas over the next few weeks will feature the Class of 2023 in multiple scouring reports before closing one scouting door and opening several more.
Here is the first look at some impressive seniors from Class 3A schools who had big-hitting seasons during their senior campaigns. Eight of the nine players on this list have committed to competing in college programs in the fall.
Jacy Thomasson Jacy Thomasson 5'11" | MB Riverton | 2023 State KS , 5’10”, MH/OH, Riverton
Thomasson unofficially led all Class 3A hitters with 590 kills. She has been a top-ranked athlete since Prep Dig Kansas launched in 2020. Thomasson is long, can jump, and hits the ball with authority. She has committed to play for Division II Pittsburg State University for coach Jen Gomez.
Hallee White, 6’0”, OH/RS, Baxter Springs
White had an impressive four-year varsity career for Baxter Springs. She played varsity as a freshman and her kill numbers increased every year. White finished with 457 kills in her senior season for the Lions. She has a long reach and can sky with the best of them. She has signed with Neosho County to play for head coach Lisiane Matsdorff.
Hattie Pyle, 5’8”, MH, Frontenac
Pyle is a three-sport athlete who also plays basketball and softball. She finished her senior season with 446 kills for the Raiders. Pyle has a solid net-front presence and plays with composure. She is currently unsigned and has made a handful of college visits.
Heather Schemper Heather Schemper 5'11" | OH Phillipsburg | 2023 State KS , 5’11”, MH/OH, Phillipsburg
Schemper is committed to playing for Chris Herron’s program at Washburn University. She finished her senior season with 441 kills. She played varsity ball all four years for the Panthers. She can also set, so she could end up being a six-rotation player for the Ichabods.
Maggie Miller Maggie Miller 5'9" | OH Eureka | 2023 State KS , 5’8”, MH, Eureka
Miller was a two-year starter for Eureka. She finished with 406 kills and plays for the Air Capital Aces. She is committed to playing for Butler Community College and head coach Lisa Lechtenberg.
Kristen Stover Kristen Stover OH Neodesha | 2023 State KS , 5’10”, MH, Neodesha
Stover is a solid middle and multi-sport athlete. She finished with 394 kills for the Blue Streaks during her senior season. She has committed to compete in Track and Field at Missouri Southern.
Sarah Graham Sarah Graham 6'0" | OH Trinity Academy | 2023 State KS , 6’0”, OH, Trinity
Graham finished her senior season at Trinity with 357 kills. She plays club ball with Shockwave Academy and has signed to play for John Brown University.
Campbell Hague, 6’2”, MH/OH, Cheney
Hague has committed to play at Division I San Diego State. During her senior season, she finished with 338 kills. Cheney has been a competitor for the 3A state volleyball and basketball titles. Hague hopes her experience playing for a winner will continue with the Aztecs.
Bella Lott, 5’11’, MH, Marysville
Lott is a big-time hitter. In her senior season at Marysville Lott finished with 344 kills. Lott plays for Topeka Elite and is committed to playing for Jennifer Ei’s volleyball team at Johnson County Community College.
