Class rankings are fun and all, a rankings number don't always tell the tale.

In the Class of 2024, there are plenty of talented players that sit outside our top 50. Some have the potential to truly be great and succeed at the college level.

Here's a look at 10 players that could be flying under the radar right now.

[player_tooltip player_id='176599' first='Sami' last='Baker'], S North Muskegon

Baker is an agile setter that uses her quickness and instincts to come through with a lot of great defensive plays, while also keeping her hitters in a position to succeed as a setter. Baker has great touch on her sets and good awareness as to when to call her own number. She's a diamond in the rough.

[player_tooltip player_id='110297' first='Brooke' last='Foucher'], MB Northville/L2

Foucher is a middle that can also move to the right side. She's got really good footwork and reads the ball well. Listed at 5'11”, Foucher looks more like a 6+-footer with a long reach. She adapts well to her sets and can finish with offspeed or power shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='172200' first='Julia' last='Gojcaj'], S Stoney Creek/L2

Gojcaj brings a competitive fire to the court and is very determined to succeed. She has a great mix of sets and has the athleticism to get her hitters a good ball to swing at. Gojcaj has also put a lot of work into her defensive and serve game to be as versatile a player as possible.

[player_tooltip player_id='172201' first='Margaret' last='Hilliard'], S Cranbrook/Michigan Elite

[player_tooltip player_id='172201' first='Margaret' last='Hilliard']

Hilliard brings a 6'3” frame to the setter position, so that immediately draws attention to her. Her length allows her to and her hitters to play above the defense and keep a fast pace. She's light on her feet and has good awareness with where the ball needs to go. There's still plenty of room for improvement to go with great intangibles.

[player_tooltip player_id='274530' first='Riley' last='Lockhart'], DS/L Country Day/Legacy

Lockhart is a well-coached and technically sound defender that has been able to showcase her overall talent throughout the prep season. She's got the athleticism and skillset to play as a hitter when needed, but really shines as a defender during the club year. Her effort and court IQ compliment that athleticism and make her a DS that should garner more attention.

[player_tooltip player_id='110313' first='Greta' last='McKee'], DS/L Northville/L2

McKee can get lost in the shuffle of a highly-talented Northville back row, but she's a big reason the defense is as strong as it is. The definition of a team player, McKee locks down her space in the back row and has proven to take on some of the most powerful shots and keep her team in-system.

[player_tooltip player_id='153677' first='Taya' last='Nordmann'], MB DeWitt/Legacy

[player_tooltip player_id='153677' first='Taya' last='Nordmann']

Nordmann is laying in the weeds due to an ACL injury suffered last summer that kept her from the prep season. As she returns to the court during club play, she's likely to start shooting up recruiting boards. At 6'3”, Nordmann brings a rare combo of size and athleticism. She's much more than just length, as she has a variety of shots and adapts well to what's happening on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='261212' first='Sydney' last='Ryan'], RS Seaholm/Michigan Elite

Ryan stands 6'3”, which already puts her in some rarefied air. Over the last year, we've seen her growing more confident as a player. Her finishing rate, shot selection and decision-making have all improved and making her a more dynamic hitter. She's going to have a lot to offer at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='153664' first='Jackie' last='Scheiber'], S/OPP/MH Riverview/Michigan Elite

Scheiber is a real utility player that is laying under the radar. A 6-foot setter is a gold mine in itself, but Scheiber also has powerful swings and great timing as a hitter. She has the athleticism to be a defensive asset as well and is a proven leader on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='176598' first='Jenna' last='Southland'], MB Three Rivers/FaR Out

Southland is definitely a sleeper in this class. She's coming off a dominant prep season where she had nearly 500 kills while hitting .321. She was also a real force defensively with 96 blocks and 207 digs. Southland really hits another gear with her swing and brings the ball down at a very difficult angle to defend. The 6-footer has a lot of potential.
