For a team earlier in the season that was looking for some better support for their primary offensive threat around the floor, Dabbelt has seemingly answered that call with her versatility and the improved quality of her arm speed and range. This team has increased their impact in the 17U division as one of the better teams consistently from tournament to tournament, which includes finishing just shy of earning an open-level bid to this summer’s USAV GJNC event. Approaching the midpoint of the club season, Dabbelt is looking stronger and more fluid in her movement, with increased opportunities to contribute from a variety of positions across the net. Given her sharp progress and added impact, she breaks into the top-20 for the 2024 class.

– Pineapple
As a lefty opposite, Sigman has good upside to her game. The 5’10 Cincinnati commit elevates well and can develop good range of movement off her arm in the air. She can create good arm speed and is crafty in her decision making to swing aggressively as well as place the ball in open space. Pineapple is a squad that has a lot of potential to be among the upper echelon of tournament fields in later rounds and when they can get Sigman involved with good opportunities and space, she can score, which helps balance the floor and relieve the heavy workload and impact they rely on from the left pin.

– Rock City
Sowko is a huge factor for a Rock City team that is finding a lot of success this club season. Having won the JVA Rock ‘n Rumble event in Cleveland earlier this season, Sowko and her team recently claimed the 17 USA division title with a 9-1 overall record at MEQ this past weekend. Now ranked #36 overall, she can create good power and pace while showing range in challenging defenses through a variety of attack points. She has good size at 6’0 to contact high as well as to be able to defend by taking up good space above the net. Given the depth of this team and high quality consistent ball control, she gets good space as defenses cannot dial in on her solely, which makes her that much more of a threat.

– Mintonette (*pictured)
This is a prospect that has increased her value as the #38 ranked prospect in the 2024 class given her skill set and versatility for this Mintonette team. Having spent time as the primary libero for this team, she was moved to the left pin out of necessity as she helped her team compete well at the recent MEQ. She has great tools in her 5’9 frame to be able to contribute as an offensive threat as she already excels in the ball control and defensive phases of the game, as her size helps her create good range in pursuit of the ball. She has good volleyball I.Q. and is athletic, which for any athlete will create advantages. Given her ball control ability and that she can take aggressive swings at the net, Cugino provides a lot regarding the manner in which she can influence a match.

– Southwest
Waynar makes a big leap after additional review of her skills at recent events. She is a key piece to Southwest’s effort on both sides of the ball from the middle and can make a big impact in a variety of ways. At 6’0, she has good physicality with her arm when on time in the air as she can generate good power and movement through quick options around the setter. Waynar is equally effective with good efficiency off of one foot overhead on a slide option. She and her team finished 9th in the recent MEQ event in the 17 USA division as they had already earned their bid in 17 USA for the national championships this summer.
