One of the top setters in the country leads the way for this class in the state of Kansas. She has all the tools and playmaking abilities to make any team she’s on better, as evidenced leading Dynasty 17 Black and St. James.
In a group of talented attackers, we have Goolsby in the second spot still after leading her team, St. Thomas Aquinas to a state title as one of the top performers in the kill category. She has improved her passing and defense and continues to be a prospect for many college programs.
Parks can do it all and has the size many coaches love on the next level. She is equally good as a setter and attacker. She is an elite competitor who at times wheeled her team to wins with an attitude that says I’m going to put this team on the back.
Highlights
Gregory is an elite attacker who can fill up a stat sheet. She has tremendous bounce and rises up over the defense time and time again. She is another player who has distanced themselves with improved defense and passing and is another strong prospect.
Highlights
The state is deep with setters and we see three in the top five if you count Parks. Wedman is poetry in motion on the court for her KC Power and Blue Valley West teams. Since taking over the reins as a freshman, she continues to not disappoint and play up to her ranking.
Highlights
Lopez moves up after a tremendous fall for the state champion Bishop Miege Stags. She has developed a strong tool kit of shots that has help separate herself as one of the top pins in the state. Her court vision and decision making is very strong.
Highlights
Another player who was key to their teams state tournament run, McClure had a huge year for Blue Valley North. She is not the biggest pin but can fill up the kill category quickly.
Clayton was not needed as much for Olathe Northwest with the top two ranked players in the 2024 class on the roster however she did her part with over 100 kills. On the club scene she has been dominant at times for Mavs KC. She is effective both on the pin and behind the 3 meter line.
Highlights
Mills is a gamer and seeing her in action is special. She had over 400 kills last fall for Topeka Seaman. She just helped her team clinch a bid in Indianapolis at MEQ going undefeated.
Highlights
Jacobs had a big sophomore year for Mill Valley and will only continue to get better. She has tremendous upside and you can see the sky is the limit. At 6’1″, she has good reaction and does a great job defensively as well.
