I watched Mills play a ton over the past couple of years. She is a physical force who can hammer the ball. Each athlete I scout reacts differently when they know that I am in the gym. Mills was always polite, social, and seemed to step up her game when she knew I was around. The Seaman Product has signed to play volleyball for the University of Tulsa. The Golden Hurricanes are a Division I Program that plays in the American Athletic Conference. I may have to make a trip to Tulsa to watch some volleyball and eat lunch at the White River Fish Market somewhere down the road.

Mills broke Turner’s record for most kills in a career, and she has plenty of volleyball left to add on to that record. The previous total was 1,316 kills. Seaman improved its won-loss record to 25-1 with two wins over Basehor-Linwood and KC-Turner on October 9. Mills is a power-hitter verbally committed to Tulsa University. There are times when she can completely take over a match, which she did against Hayden during a tournament on September 28. Mills and her Viking teammates are looking to return to Salina to defend their Class 5A State Championship.
