We have been watching the 2024 class very closely throughout the entire high school and new club season. A lot of the analysis has come from watching these players in person and also by watching the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be added to the rankings due to their individual performances.
Ruby Ennis Ruby Ennis 5'9" | S El Capitan | 2024 State CA [2024] 5-10 Setter (HS: El Capitan/Club: Coast/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please officially welcome Miss Ennis to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 32nd best overall prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays for El Capitan High School and also for the nationally recognized Coast volleyball club. I was able to watch Miss Ennis in person recently at the Red Rock Rave National Qualifier and she was super impressive in every aspect of the position. Her ability to move around the court and track down passes/digs was on another level. I very rarely saw her with bad setting posture and that was a huge reason for her location consistency in delivering to her specified target. She even showcased some amazing defense out of the right back position, which helped her team stay in rallies. Her serving stifled opponents as she either aced them or got their offense out of system. We are very proud to have her listed amongst the state’s best players. Please help us congratulate her on the achievement.
Gabriella Destler Gabriella Destler 6'2" | OH Marymount | 2024 State CA [2024] 6-2 Outside (HS: Marymount/Club: SG Elite/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Miss Destler to the prestigious State Rankings. Gabriella is currently ranked as the 37th best overall prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays for Marymount High School and also for the San Gabriel Elite Volleyball Club. Her length is what every common volleyball spectator will admire because it is very noticeable. However, she has a lot to her overall game that the casual observer might not notice. Her offensive arsenal is vast as she is able to score in a variety of ways on the court. I have seen her swing hard cross around a block with authority. She also has the ability to turn on the ball in mid-air to score down the line around the block also. Gabby also loves to throw off the defense by incorporating some off-speed tips and shots that keep her in the scoring stat sheet. No matter what she uses, she scores at a very high rate and college coaches will love her efficiency at the net. One aspect that I truly love was her ability to adjust her timing and footwork to different out of system tempos that came her way. She was able to adjust so well and still send over an aggressive swing to help keep the pressure on her opponent. Please help us congratulate her on the honor of being listed on our prestigious state rankings list.
Kaila De Beer Kaila De Beer 6'1" | RS Mira Costa | 2024 State CA [2024] 6-1 Right Side (HS: Mira Costa/Club: SCVC/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Miss Debeer officially to the State Rankings. Kaila is currently ranked as the 38th best overall prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays for Mira Costa High School and also for the Southern California Volleyball Club. Opposites are very valuable to any team if they are a key piece of the offensive scheme. That is exactly what Miss Debeer is. She possesses the amazing ability to allow the ball to cross over her body to be over her right shoulder and hit the ball down the sideline. This is one of the hardest things to do with timing on a volleyball court and Kaila is a master at it. No matter what position she plays at she is able to send over an aggressive swing. One separator from other right sides is her ball control out of serve receive. Most right sides are not able to pass at an efficient clip to be part of a team’s receive scheme, but Kaila is special. She has the ball control of an outside hitter and can be an integral part of a team’s serve receive success because of it. This is the differentiating factor that we used to move her up the rankings. We are proud to have her listed and would like for you to help us congratulate her on achieving the honor.
