We have been watching the 2025 class very closely throughout the entire high school and new club season. A lot of the analysis has come from watching these players in person and also by watching the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be added to the rankings due to their individual performances.
Nekhaela Rogers Nekhaela Rogers 6'0" | MB Centennial | 2025 State #145 Nation TX [2025] 6-1 Middle (HS: Centennial/Club: Dallas Skyline/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Miss Rogers officially to the State Rankings. Ne’khaela is currently ranked as the 34th best overall prospect in the 2025 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She stars in the middle for Centennial High School and also plays for the Dallas Skyline program. I was introduced to this young lady very early in this club season and was thoroughly impressed from the first play I saw. I watched as the ball went up from the opposing setter to an incoming middle attempting a quick set. For some reason there was a solo middle going up to block and I thought to myself, “this is gonna be a scary kill.” What I saw next made my jaw drop. Miss Rogers raised up super quick off of the ground, swallowed up the net from this would-be attacker and stuff blocked her. The sound from the rebound off of Miss Rogers arms let off a booming sound that echoed loudly. It was then that I knew this young lady would be a problem for opposing teams. Her upper body is extremely strong for her age and she uses it in every aspect of the game. She is able to run every route in the middle route tree with grace and pace. I think she has a bright future at the next level and should garner lots of attention from college coaches. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot in our prestigious state rankings list.
Taylor Gaines Taylor Gaines 6'0" | OH Liberty Hill | 2025 State TX [2025] 6-0 Outside (HS: Liberty Hill/Club: Roots/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Miss Gaines officially to the State Rankings. Taylor is currently ranked as the 42nd best overall prospect in the 2025 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays for Liberty Hill High School and also for the Roots Volleyball club. As a sophomore playing on varsity she came in strong for a talented Liberty Hill squad who used her offensive genius to finish second in district this year. During the club season I have been able to watch Taylor rip up her opponents across the nation from the left side of the court. She showcases some amazing skill sets in the outside hitter position that will translate very well at the next level. She is a true six-rotation pin attacker who can help out as an OH1 or OH2. If a coach wanted to let her loose and be a terminating force on the left side she is up for the challenge. She can also be used as a ball control/spread offense pin who can still put pressure on the defense from any location. Taylor can change up her hand contact at-will while in the air to change her shot in order to score in multiple ways. This is what makes her truly dangerous on the court and able to fill up the stat book in a hurry. Please help us welcome her with open arms to the State Rankings as she has earned her placement with amazing play.
Sophia Wei Sophia Wei 5'8" | S Plano West | 2025 State TX [2025] 5-7 Setter (HS: Plano West/Club: Madfrog ‘ last=”]/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Miss Wei officially to the State Rankings. Sophia is currently ranked as the 75th best overall prospect in the 2025 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Plano West High School and also for the famed Madfrog ‘ last=”] volleyball club. I have watched this young lady in the setting position for the last couple of years and she is as technical of a setter as they come. A lot of young setters can’t replicate the same movements over and over so it throws off their setting location to have them spray the ball all over the target. Sophia is someone who is very surgical when it comes to technique and she holds her form very still at her release. The ball is able to hit the bulls eye on the target over and over because of this attention to detail by her. Her left hand is a mirror image of her right hand during contact and release. She is also very quick across the court when tracking down passes from her back row teammates. It is very rare to see her not in a good position to play the ball due to that foot speed. She uses amazing “textbook” posture during every set and it a beautiful thing to witness. I also love her temperament during close games because it is hardly ever different, which keeps her composure in check and that is infectious to her teammates. Please help us congratulate her on earning the honor of being listed as a state ranked player.
