Mid-East Qualifiers is the place to be this weekend with some of the best talent from around the country, not just the Mid-East. Weekend 1 will hold host to the 16s through 18s age group. Temps outside are calling for a chillier weekend, but the Indianapolis Convention Center is going to be RED HOT!
Let’s take a look at some of the top match-ups to watch on Day 1 of MEQs in the 17 Open Division.

Pool 10: MN Select vs. Legacy
I have a feeling the top seeds in this pool are going to put on a show on day 1. MN Select and Legacy have been on the hunt for a bid and could very easily get theirs this weekend, but will have to square off first. Select is led by a deep bench including the Swenson sisters and MB Kaia Caffee (Ohio State). Caffee will have her blocking work cut out for her trying to defend the likes of MB Laurece Abraham (Yale) and OH Kennedy Louisell (High Point) from Legacy. This is going to be a good one.
Pool 11: FC Elite vs. KIVA
Looking for booming attackers? Come check out this match between the top seeds on court 56 on Day 1. You will not be disappointed. This match is going to be a brawl. FC Elite has themselves a really tough squad that includes OH Ella Demetrician (Michigan) and OPP Kyla Dunaway (Alabama). These two pin attackers will have to be top notch to burst through the mighty block of KIVA. Speaking of said blockers, Nya Bunton (Texas) and Gabrielle Gerry (South Carolina) are two of the best middles you’ll find in Indianapolis this weekend.
Pool 12: Triangle vs. Elevation
It’s a Big Blue Nation showdown here in this match-up. Both Triangle and Elevation have themselves a future Kentucky Wildcat on their roster and this will surely be fun match-up between two future teammates. For Triangle, they have the offensive dynamo Jordyn Dailey (Kentucky) alongside S Avery Scoggins (Arizona). For Elevation, Under Armour All-American MB Brooke Bultema (Kentucky) will be joined alongside with OPP Audrey Armbruster (Clemson).
