As mentioned yesterday, this is not a perfect, be-all end-all process. Being the only full-time scout for the state of Indiana, kids do get missed. This quarterly update was no exception. Here are six athletes in the class of '24 that showed out enough to earn a spot on the list.

[player_tooltip player_id='330444' first='Katerina' last='Koepke'], 6-1 RS, New Haven, Empowered

A big and strong lefty, Katerina can hit all angles at a very high attack point with pace. Her size and strength make her a tough out for any attacker on her pin. You can't teach height, and Miss Koepke has deceptively long arms to cover areas that her feet don't get her to.

[player_tooltip player_id='298617' first='Milica' last='Tomic'], 5-8 S, Lake Central, 1st Alliance (Milwaukee commit)

Having high hands, fast feet and already familiar with running a fast offense on her own, Milica has earned her commitment to Horizon League front-runner Milwaukee. She's the definition of a 5-1 setter, and defends her position better than most setters in ANY class.

[player_tooltip player_id='150153' first='Dani' last='Schade'], 6-2 OH, Westfield, Munciana

Splitting time as a middle in high school and a pin. attacker at Munciana, Dani is a big (literally) reason that her fall and spring squads are so successful. She has the potential to play any of the front row positions at the next level. As a left, she can attack high and hard with a heavy ball. As a middle, she can go pin to pin on defense and puts zero-tempo balls away regularly. As a right side, she would give fits to opposing pin attackers.

[player_tooltip player_id='330263' first='Riley' last='Resmer'], 6-1 MB, Noblesville, Boiler Juniors (Harvard commit)

Lean and springy, this brainiac is supremely adept at attacking quickly either in front of or behind the setter. Her long arms also make her look taller than her 6-1 frame gives her credit for. Fast feet and an even faster arm, Miss Resmer will make the Ivy League that much better upon her arrival.

[player_tooltip player_id='296902' first='Baylee' last='Franklin'], 5-3 DS/L, Concord, NIVA

I rarely talk about defenders prior to their senior seasons because there are so many that are in the same category in skill and work ethic. That being said, Baylee is a great example of how wrong I am. Smooth and natural as a left back, she's the quintessential libero that makes the position look easy to play. She anticipates better than most, controls serves and attacks smoothly, and can chase down anything. It's only a matter of time before she's committed somewhere.

[player_tooltip player_id='290551' first='Lainey' last='Brauman'], 5-8 OH, Tri-West, Circle City

Currently playing for Circle's 18 Black squad, Lainey is lithe, springy and fast from either pin. She transitions quickly, understands how and when to use her vast array of shots, and makes few errors for a kid that gets as many balls as she does. I like the athleticism and her ability to play multiple positions.
